AbstractAbstract

[en] It is demonstrated that a simple model successfully describing experimental data for the process e⁺e^- → 4π can also qualitatively account for the data of CLEON and ALEPH obtained recently for the decay τ → 4πν_τ. The model is based on the assumption of the α₁(1260)π and ωπ dominance as intermediate states.The observation is in contrast with the claim by ARGUS that the ρ-meson signal in the τ → 4πν_τ decay can not be explained by the α₁π intermediate state

Показано, что простая модель, успешно описывающая экспериментальные данные для процесса e⁺e^- → 4π, может также качественно учитывать данные CLEON и ALEPH, полученные недавно для распада τ → 4πν_τ. Эта модель основана на предположении о том, что α₁(1260)π и ωπ доминируют в качестве промежуточных состояний. Это наблюдение противоречит утверждению ARGUS, что сигнал ρ-мезона в распаде τ → 4πν_τ не может быть объяснен промежуточным состоянием α₁π

[en] The new VEPP-2000 e ⁺ e ^- collider now under construction in Novosibirsk is described. Two upgraded detectorsSND and CMD-3 plan experiments in the c.m. energy range 0.4-2.0 GeV. The physical program includes precise measurements of the total hadronic cross section, studies of exclusive hadronic channels, two photon physics, nucleon form factors near threshold and tests of higher order quantum elecrodynamics processes

AbstractAbstract

[en] New results on the low energy e⁺e^- annihilation into hadrons from Novosibirsk and Beijing are described. The validity of the CVC relation between e⁺e^- and τ decays is considered. Implications of the new measurements for the evaluation of the hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment are discussed. (author)

AbstractAbstract

[en] New calculations of the branching ratios of the τ-lepton hadronic decays are presented based on the conserved-vector-current hypothesis and the whole bulk of data on electron-positron annihilation into hadrons. Recent results from the Neutral Detector (ND) at VEPP-2M and the DM2 detector at DCI are included. Perspectives of future measurements of hadronic cross sections in Novosibirsk are discussed. AbstractAbstract

[en] The processes e⁺e^- → e⁺e^-γ, μ⁺μ^-γ, γγγ have been considered in the case when the angle between the plane of final particles and the beam axis is greater than some psi₀. In the Born approximation, analytical expressions for the energy distributions of final particles and 'total' cross sections have been obtained. (Auth.)
