AbstractAbstract
[en] Differential cross sections and spin observables Ay, iT11, T20, and T22 are calculated for the pd → 3Hπ+ reaction in a pp → dπ+ model at energies near threshold. The results are compared with experimental data for the reactions rvec pd → 3Heπ0 and rvec dp → 3Heπ0. Good agreement of these predictions with the data for the proton analyzing power is obtained, and for most of the other observables satisfactory agreement is found. Effects of various assumptions in the model are investigated and discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Calculations of the angular distributions of the cross-sections and analyzing powers in the 30Si(p vector, α)27Al reaction have been made using microscopic form factors. A wide range of shapes of the microscopic form factors, simulating different degrees of configuration mixing in the nuclear wave functions, fail to provide angular distributions of the analyzing powers that agree with experiment for the 2.73 and 4.41 MeV, 5/2+ states. AbstractAbstract
[en] The reactions (p,α) and (α,p) are analyzed using a finite-range interaction between the incoming proton and each of the three transferred nucleons and results in the finite range microscopic form factor. Three-nucleon transfer form factors are shown for A = 40, and differential cross sections are compared with various other types of calculations. 6 references

[en] Calculational methods of peak centroids and peak widths from histogram spectra where the peaks have full widths at half maximum as narrow as 2 or 3 channels are derived and evaluated. Simple algorithms are presented which accomplish this with high accuracy. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Microscopic form factors for the three-nucleon transfer (p,α) reaction are described, with special emphasis on their comparison with conventional cluster form factors. Considerable differences in shape of these form factors is found, especially in the surface region. An extension of the earlier zero-range descriptions of the microscopic form factor to include finit-range effects, is formulated and tested. Center of mass corrections, the α-particle size parameter, and non-local corrections in the single-particle states, all have a strong influence on the shape of the microscopic form factor. The implications of these observations for the extraction of nuclear structure information is discussed, especially as this affects the commonly used procedure of replacing the microscopic form factor with a cluster form factor, in the actual DWBA calculation.
