AbstractAbstract
[en] The disposals of waste ore dumps and tailings are an important part in the decommissioning disposal of uranium mines. Important indexes of the disposal include stabilization, harmlessness, rehabilitation and improvement of the ecological environment. These are closely related with vegetations. Taking example of decommissioning disposal of a uranium mine in Guizhou province, the selection of grasses and effects after covering soils and planting grasses are introduced. It is pointed out that covering soils and vegetations play an important role in decommissioning disposal of uranium mines. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To explore the incidence and significance of intra- and extraosseous edema accompanying benign tumors and tumor like diseases. Methods: Imaging studies including MR, CT and plain radiograph were retrospectively reviewed in 245 cases of benign osseous tumors and tumor like diseases proved by pathology(borderline tumor, cases associated with pathological fractures, cases with lesions of skull were excluded from the study). The incidence of bone marrow and soft tissue edema were defined on T2WI with fat suppression on MRI in all the cases. χ2 test was performed for the incidence rate of edema in the benign tumors and tumor like diseases. The pre-operative diagnoses were reviewed, and the influence of edema to the differential diagnosis between the benign and malignant was analyzed. Results: The total incidence of bone marrow and soft tissue edema associated with benign tumors and tumor like diseases was 37.1%(91/245), which included Langerhans cell histiocytosis 85.2%(23/27), osteoblastoma 85.0%(17/20), osteoid osteoma 93.6%(29/31), chondroblastoma 87.0%(20/23). There was no statistically significant difference of edema incidence among the above-mentioned four diseases. (χ2 = 6.35, P > 0.05). Both cases of endosteal capillary hemangioma had edema around. No edema was found around the lesions of other kinds of diseases. 41 of 91 cases (45.1%) with edema were misdiagnosed as malignant tumor by MRI pre-operatively. Conclusion: The marrow and soft tissue edema is a common sign in the benign bone tumor and tumor-like diseases, and it is frequently seen in Langerhans cell histiocytosis, osteoblastoma, osteoid osteoma, chondroblastoma. AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To explore imaging features of the lateral atlanto-dental interval (LADI) of atlanto-axial joint and its value in the diagnosis of atlanto-axial joint dislocation/subluxation. Methods: Two hundred and forty healthy volunteers without atlanto-axial joint dysfunction and 32 patients with torticollis and/or functional impairment at atlanto-axial.joint were enrolled into this study. All subjects were examined with multi-slice CT in both neutral and max rotation positions to the left/right. Clinical endpoints including VBLADI, variance range of the VBLADI and asymmetric conditions were evaluate. χ2 test is used to evaluate the variance of incidence of bilateral LADI asymmetry in different age groups, Pearson-test (2-tailed) is used to evaluate the correlation between VBLADI and rotary function of atlanto-axial joint, precise test of fourfold table is used to compare normal group with patient groups. Results: (1) In the normal control group: asymmetry of bilateral LADI were observed in 204 among 240 (85.00%) healthy volunteers including 60 youngsters (<15 years) and 180 adults (≥15 years). The median and P95% of ∣ VBLADI ∣ were 0.850 mm, 2.450 mm in the young (<15 years) and 0. 700 mm, 2.051 mm in the adult (≥15 years), there were 2 and 10 volunteers whose ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ P95% in the young and in the adult respectively. There was no correlation between VBLADI(-2.146 to 2.114 mm, Median 0.000 mm) and LA (22.949° to 44.649°, Median 34.500°), RA (25.284° to 45.334°, Median 35.300°), VLRA (-11.643° to 8.623°, median 0.000°) respectively in normal people (r=-0.030, -0.005, 0.026, P>0.05). (2) In the study with 32 patients including 25 youngsters (< 15 years) and 7 adults (≥15 years). Seventeen of 32 had atlanto-axial lateral subdislocation (AALSD), in 16 youngsters (< 15 years), the median of the ∣ VBLADI ∣ was 3.350 mm and 14 cases ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ 2.450 mm; 1 adult patient (≥15 years) had ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ 2.051 mm; 7 of 32 patients had atlanto-axial rotatory dislocation (AARD) including 4 youngsters I VBLADI I < 2.450 mm,median 1.200 mm, 3 adults ∣ VBLADI ∣ < 2.051 mm, all of the 7 patients with AARD had unilateral parasol LADI in neutral position; 8 of 32 patients had atlanto-axial complicated dislocation (AACD) including 5 youngsters ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ 2.450 mm, 3 adults ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ 2.051 mm. There are more cases whose ∣ VBLADI ∣ ≥ P95% in group AALSD and group AACD than in abnormal group (P<0.01), but there is no difference between group AARD and normal group (P=0.738). Conclusion: The imaging finding of 'asymmetry of bilateral LADI' may be either a physiological variation or a pathological condition, clinical manifestations and other imaging findings should be evaluated to make a diagnosis. AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To assess the value of spectral CT in reducing artifacts caused by metallic implants. Methods: Porcine lumbar spines were chosen as anthropomorphic phantom. The model was examined before and after implanting the titanic nail into the second and fourth lumbar vertebral body using gemstone spectral CT protocol and standard 120 kVp spectra. Specific post-processing technique was applied to generate 11 kinds of images of monochromatic energy and Metal Artifacts Reducing system (MARs) with the interval of 10 keV ranging from 40-140 keV. The image quality was compared subjectively between 120 kVp group and GSI group after implantation. Three regions of interest based on distances along the most pronounced artifact were chosen and marked as ROInear, ROImid, ROIfar successively. Artifacts parameters including CT value and SD value were measured. The CT value of different ROIs were compared with LSD and Bonferroni test. Contrast-to-noise ratio and artifacts index were calculated. An optimal range of keV was determined according to artifacts index. Results: Image quality of' Gemstone spectra images was rated superior to the standard images. An optimized spectrum of keV based on artifacts index was from 80 keV to 100 keV. For ROInear, CT value was (80.25±16.00) HU and (30.10±10.45) HU respectively in group Mono before implantation and group Mono + MARs after implantation. The differences were significant (Z= 2.978, P<0.05 ). For ROImid and ROIfar, CT value was (63.21±6.61) HU and (54.84±10.60) HU, (76.54±9.07) HU and (73.20±5.39) HU respectively. There was no significant differences (t=0.530, P>0.05; t=0.822, P>0.05). Conclusion: Metal artifacts could be reduced effectively at the site 3 cm away from implants using gemstone spectral CT. An accurate CT value of surrounding tissue can be obtained. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Seafood is increasingly used worldwide due to its nutritional value. It is rich in essential minerals, liposoluble vitamins, and high-quality proteins. However, many seafood species tend to accumulate metals, making them a threat to human health. We chose Xincun Lagoon and Li-an Lagoon, which have been seriously polluted by local activities, and the relatively clean Tufu Bay as the research areas to investigate whether trace metals in economic seafood species in these areas threaten the food safety of consumers. The results show that the mean concentrations (mg kg−1 ww) of trace metals were Cu 0.22 ± 0.18, Pb 0.040 ± 0.028, Zn 5.25 ± 1.60, Cd 0.009 ± 0.004, Hg 0.0072 ± 0.0031, As 0.21 ± 0.12, and Cr 0.084 ± 0.048 in fish samples (Trachinotus ovatus); Cu 4.00 ± 0.96, Pb 0.075 ± 0.030, Zn 19.10 ± 2.64, Cd 0.050 ± 0.024, Hg 0.0131 ± 0.0035, As 0.91 ± 0.27, and Cr 0.216 ± 0.095 in crab samples (Charybdis natator); and Cu 5.37 ± 1.39, Pb 0.095 ± 0.023, Zn 21.38 ± 3.59, Cd 0.096 ± 0.026, Hg 0.0208 ± 0.0052, As 1.65 ± 0.59, and Cr 0.406 ± 0.117 in bivalve samples (Ruditapes philippinarum), respectively, with species specific (fish < crab < bivalve) and significant seasonal and spatial variation (p < 0.05). However, health risk assessment (EDI, THQ, TTHQ, CR) indicated that the consumption of the analyzed seafood from the study areas is safe for local consumers. But there is a potential risk for fishermen and those who prefer seafood.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To explore the predictive value of a radiomics model based on preoperative contrast enhanced MRI in the assessment of the isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH 1) genotype in high-grade glioma. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on a dataset including 182 patients with high-grade glioma confirmed by surgical pathology between December 2012 and January 2018 in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University. There were 79 patients with IDH1-mutant glioma (45 cases with WHO grade III, 34 with WHO grade IV) and 103 with IDH 1 wild-type glioma (33 cases with WHO grade III, 70 cases with WHO grade IV). All patients had complete preoperative brain contrast enhanced MRI. The cases were divided into a training dataset and a validation dataset at a ratio of 7:3 using stratified random sampling. Radiomic features were initially extracted using A. K (Analysis Kit, GE healthcare) software, and were selected and excluded using Kruskal-Wallis and Spearman analyses. Using R software 'GLM' function, the Lasso-logistic model was finally conducted to obtain the optimized subset of the feature to build the radiomics model, and the model was then tested with cross-validation. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was performed to evaluate the performance of the model in differentiating IDH1-mutant type and wild-type gliomas. Results: The radiomics model showed good performance in IDH genotype differentiation in both the training dataset (AUC 0.870, 95%CI: 0.754 to 0.855, accuracy rate 79.8%, sensitivity 85.5%, specificity 75.4%, positive predictive value 0.734, negative predictive value 0.867) and the validation dataset (AUC 0.860, 95%CI: 0.690 to 0.913, accuracy rate 78.9%, sensitivity 91.3%, specificity 69.0%, positive predictive value 0.700, negative predictive value 0.909). Conclusion: The radiomics model based on the preoperative enhanced MR can provide a way to predict the IDH1 genotype in high-grade gliomas. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A peptide (Li5–025)-modified gold nanoparticle (AuNP)/(titania (TiO2) + 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-aminophenyl)-21H,23H-porphine (TAPP))/glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was developed for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) determination. This electrode not only performs well in the electrochemical impedance determination of LPS in serum but can also be easily regenerated under light irradiation. Using Fe(CN)63−/4- as a redox probe, LPS recognition can be indicated by the significantly increased electron-transfer resistance (Ret) as a result of the coaction of the increased steric hindrance from the peptide-LPS complex and the electrostatic repulsion between LPS and Fe(CN)63−/4-. The impedimetric signal was acquired in the frequency range 0.1 Hz ~ 100 kHz with an initial voltage of 174 mV and an amplitude of 10 mV. The resistance changes (ΔRet) are linearly related to the LPS concentrations in a broad range (0.1 pg mL−1 ~ 100 ng mL−1) with a low detection limit (0.08 pg mL−1). Importantly, the electrode shows high selectivity to LPS from Escherichia coli O55:B5 compared to other bacterial sources and considerable anti-interference to 0.1% fetal calf serum, demonstrating its potential application in clinically relevant samples. Another highlight is that the AuNP/(TiO2 + TAPP)/GCE surface can be photocatalytically regenerated under light irradiation (50 mW cm−2, 300–2500 nm) without any obvious damage to the electrode microstructure. After simple peptide re-immobilization, the regenerated electrode demonstrates LPS response similar to the peptide less one, and the deviation is only 2.89% after 5-cycle reuse.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Highlights: • Melamine reacted with sodium tri-polyphosphate, the product MTP was used as flame retardant. • By 10% adding of MTP, butyl acrylate (BA) coating achieve self-extinguish. • By 10% MTP, heat and smoke release of BA coating was reduced by 38.3% and 27.8%, respectively. • By 10% MTP, the water absorption of BA coating was reduced by 37.3%. In order to guarantee fire safety and water resistance of the butyl acrylate (BA) coating, an integrated intumescent flame retardant (IFR) was fabricated. At first sodium tri-polyphosphate (STPP) was selected as acid source, and melamine (MEL) was gas source. STPP and MEL were connected by ionic bond. In the obtained product of melamine tri-polyphosphate (MTP), the amounts of hydrophilic groups was obviously reduced. BA coating containing 10 wt% MTP showed 37.3% reduction on water absorption, and the surface looked smoother with little folds. The limiting oxygen index (LOI) of BA coating is 22%; comparatively, LOI for BA/10 wt% MTP increased to 27%. The heat release rate (HRR), smoke production rate (SPR), CO production rate decreased by 20.1%, 5.4% and 33.3% respectively. The flame retardancy mechanism was tried to deduce by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) observation. It was proposed that MTP promoted the formation of compact char and the release of nonflammable gases.
