AbstractAbstract
[en] INITEC and Empresarios Agrupados are contributing to the development of an advanced plant of passive type SBWR (G.E.) with the optimization of Functional Technical Specifications. This work focusses on definition of those systems they need specifications because of their important role in accidents control. Those systems are named as Defense-in-Depth Systems (DID). The paper elaborates on the problematic associated with the regulatory treatment of non-safety systems and DIDS and the final solution proposed to GE and its treatment by the Regulating Institution (NRC)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Earthquakes are one of the geological hazards which have produced more human and material loses in the history of manking. Seismic engineering has the purpose of studying the soil dynamic behavior in order to desing structures and buildings adapted to the effects triggered by earthquakes. Within this purpose, one of the most important tasks has been the sutdy of the amplifying effect of seismic movement due to ground characteristics, which is often a major cause responsible of the damage produced by earthquakes, even when their magnitude is not very high. In this article, the soil amplifying effects is considered according to two official sismorresistant regulations in Spain: the current Norma de Construccion Sismorresistente Espanola (NCSE-02) and the European regulation Eurocode 8 (EC-8). First, soils classification different criteria is analyzed and how this affects the soil factor and, particularly, the design seismic action in the form of response spectra. Subsequently, we compared the result of apllying both regulations to typical geological scenarios where the application of either regulation may cause notable differences. The second part of the paper deals with the comparison of NCSE-02 and EC-8 applied in the frame of a real case: the 11th May, 2011 Lorca earthquake. We compare the response spectra from both regulations to the actual response spectra derived from the accelerometric record of the earthquake at the Lorca station, and discuss which one fits it better. AbstractAbstract
[en] The barium titanate BaTiO3 is a material of great technological interest due to their dielectric properties. The functionality of this mixed oxide is mainly determined by its structure. Different synthesis methods have been used to improve the electrical response of BaTiO3. In this work BaTiO3 powders were synthesized using the polymeric precursor method, Pechini, obtaining the compound at 650< C, with uniform nanometric particle size (∼ 20nm). The nature of the synthesized powders was analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results indicate that the crystalline phase present in the sample treated at 650< C is cubic and at 1100< C is tetragonal, with a relation c/a . 1.007. The samples sinterized at 1100< C showed a ferroelectric-paraelectric transition at a temperature of T . 123oC. The ceramic powders of barium titanate tetragonal, pressed and densified, was electrical characterizing with curves current-voltage (I-V) at different temperatures. Additionally, we measured the change in electrical resistance versus temperature (R-T) and we tested the behavior thermistor (PTCR) of the material for different pressures. Also the electric response of the material with the variation of the frequency, for different temperatures, was measured. (Author).

AbstractAbstract
[en] The boron state, contained in the steel microestructure, is determined. The autoradiography by neutrons is used, permiting to obtain boron distribution images by means of additional information which is difficult to acquire by other methods. The application of the method is described, based on the neutronic irradiation of a polished steel sample, over which a celulose nitrate sheet or other appropriate material is fixed to constitute the detector. The particles generated by the neutron-boron interaction affect the detector sheet, which is subsequently revealed with a chemical treatment and can be observed at the optical microscope. In the case of materials used for the construction of nuclear reactors, special attention must be given to the presence of boron, since owing to the exceptionaly high capacity of neutron absorption, lowest quantities of boron acquire importance. The adaption of the method to metallurgical problems allows the obtainment of a correlation between the boron distribution images and the material's microstructure. (M.E.L.)

(M.E.L.)Original Title

[en] Second order supersymmetry transformations which involve a pair of complex conjugate factorization energies and lead to real nonsingular potentials are analyzed. The generation of complex potentials with real spectra is also studied. The theory is applied to the free particle, one-soliton well and one-dimensional harmonic oscillator

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that a subset of the kth-order supersymmetric partners of the harmonic oscillator admits third-order ladder operators, and provides a realization of second-order polynomial Heisenberg algebras. The corresponding spectra are composed of an infinite ladder of equally spaced energy levels and a finite one with k levels

AbstractAbstract
[en] Permanent implant with I-125 radioactive seeds is a treatment technique for early stage prostate cancer nowadays performed by means of transperineal inserted needles, ultrasound guided. At the Centro Oncologico de Galicia this treatment modality is being performed since July 2001,with more than 60 implanted patients. Because of the very low energy of I-125, the level of radiological risk is much lower than the risk concerned to other radioisotopes commonly used in Radiotherapy. One of the most important problems deals with the great number of small seeds and the possibility of in adverted loss of some of them. In this paper it is described the procedures and the necessary equipment to assure the radiological protection of workers, and the importance of a estrictic control in the number of implanted and non-implanted seeds, last ones treated as radioactive waste. In the same way, mention will be done to recommendations give to patient and his/her relatives in order to minimise the radiological risk. (Author)
