AbstractAbstract
[en] Breakup reactions for four nucleon systems are discussed in the intermediate energy region. The Faddeev Yakubovski type Sloan's amplitudes can be expanded to a multiple scattering series and compared with the three body scattering AGS amplitudes. Two coincidence measurements for breakup reactions such as d+d→d+p+n and 3He+p→d+p+p are proposed as the experiments in the cascade project of RCNP. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A small proton linac for multipurpose use is now under construction at the Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University. The linac consists of a cusp-field type ion source, a 2m-RFQ section and a 2m-Alvarez section which accelerates protons up to 7 MeV. The operating frequency is 433.3 MHz which makes the cavity size smaller than usual proton linacs. The RFQ cavity has been fabricated and tested at low power levels. A two-dimensional cutting process was used for the machining of the vane. The curvature of the vane top became constant but the machining became very easy. The preliminary results of the RF field measurement shows that the field distribution can be controlled to be flat by 24 tuners. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The 3He(d,dd)1H reaction was investigated with a vector polarized deuteron beam at 59.5 MeV in the quasifree scattering (QFS) conditions. The analyzing powers were obtained at nine coincidence angle pairs. They are compared with the analyzing powers for the dd elastic scattering with deuteron beam energy of 56 MeV. The maximum value of Ay is reduced considerably compared with that for the dd elastic scattering. A calculation of the Ay for the QFS bumps taking account of multiple scattering effect is in progress. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Continous energy spectra of Helium-3 from 3He + 3He scattering have been studied at the incident energy of 120 MeV. A broad bump is seen at the high energy side in each spectrum. Correlation spectra from 3He(tau,tau p)d. d show the peak for quasi-free scattering. In the energy spectrum at theta2 = 200 and theta sub(p) = 400, a peak has been observed in the region outside the quasi-free process. This peak suggests the presence of the excited state of helium-3. Further experiments are underway. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Kinematically complete experiments for 3He(t,tp)d,d' and 3He(t,td)p reactions at 120 MeV have been performed using the 3He beam from the AVF cyclotron of Research Center of Nuclear Physics of Osaka University. Peaks corresponding to quasi free scattering between projectile 3He and protons or deuterons in the target 3He nucleus are observed in the coincidenced energy spectra, and the bump for the final state interaction between protons and singlet deuterons are also observed at several angular set. No evidence is observed for the excited state of 3He which was predicted from the phase shift analysis of free p-d scatterings. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] For the 3He(p,pp)2H and 3He(p,pd)1H reactions at 64.9 MeV, analyzing powers measured in the quasifree scattering (QFS) region are similar to those for the elastic scatterings. The ratio of the cross sections measured in the QFS region to those calculated in the PWIA is reproduced by a calculation taking account of the double scattering effect. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Energy dependence of the cross section and the vector analyzing power Ay for the 2H(d,dp)n reaction were measured at Ed = 54.6, 56.7, 59.6, 61.7 MeV in the QFS conditions. The experimental data were compared with the PWIA calculation. The cross section changes very slowly with energy, and shows no sharp dip that G.Hrehuss et.al. reported. The analyzing power Ay also shows no structure. (author)
