[en] A study was made on structural position of Zr4+ ion in glasses of the following systems: Na2O-B2O3-ZrO2-SiO2; Na2O-ZnO-B2O3-ZrO2-SiO2; Na2O-CaO-B2O3-Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2; Na2O-B2O3-Al2O3-ZrO2-SiO2, as well as on the effect of quantitative content of component oxides and coordination state of Al3+ and B3+ ions on coordination position of Zr4+ ions. Structural investigations into glasses were conducted by electron microscopy, infrared, Raman and EPR spectroscopy. Aluminium ions using weakly bound oxygen of alkaline and alkaline-earth oxides promote the change of coordination state of Zr4+ ions from 6 up to 8 and ZrO2 precipitation in the form of crystal phase. The presence of aluminium ions complicates the formation of [BO4] groups, increasing the amount of three-coordinated boron, as well decreases the degree of zirconium oxide solubility

[en] The effect of Co60 gamma radiation on luminescence properties is studied for some ceramic materials synthesized on the base of α-corundum (crystal phase) and SiO2-ZrO2-Al2O3-MgO-MnO-CaO glass phase when glass content in ceramics varies from 25 to 47% is studied. The dependence of thermoluminescence (TL) and gamma-luminescence (GL) peak intensity of irradiated saples on the relation of amorphous and crystal phases and γ absorbed dose is shown. The conclusion is made on responsibility of trapping sites and luminescence centres of the crystal phase for the observed TL and GL peaks

[en] Laser radiation-induced photoconductivity of aluminium borosilicate glass with copper is studied and its relation with luminescent characteristics of HeCu+ ion is disclosed. It is shown that besides direct absorption the activator can be effectively excited at the expense of energy transmission from free carriers produced by UV radiation. Processes of antistokes luminescence excitation with participation of traps localized on defects are considered. A simple spectroscopic model of ion excitation in monovalent copper in aluminium borosilicate glass is suggested
