AbstractAbstract
[en] For isotope determination, the Zeeman scanning atomic absorption spectroscopy (ZSAAS) technique has been improved by constructing a new PC-controlled spectrometer and by developing new calibration procedures. The spectrometer is a modified instrument for direct ZAAS with a low pressure graphite furnace. The light source, containing 208Pb or lead of natural abundance, is placed in an ac magnetic field. Thus, the σ-components scan the absorption line profile of the analyte. The instrument was calibrated with samples of pure 204Pb, 206Pb, 207Pb, 208Pb and the reference material NBS SRM 982. Another calibration procedure was tested by synthetic lead nitrate samples spiked with one single isotope. Complete isotope distributions of certified lead sulphide samples as well as recovery measurements with natural lead samples spiked with one of the isotopes 204Pb, 206Pb, 207Pb and 208Pb could be determined with standard deviations of about 1%. [en] The joint fission cross-section measurements program of the V. G. Khlopin Radium Institute and the Technical University of Dresden is described. The errors and uncertainties of the time correlated associated particle method of fission cross-section measurements for 2.6, 8.5, and 14.7-MeV neutrons are discussed. Experimental results of absolute fission cross-section measurements of 235U, 238U, 237Np, and 239Pu for 14.7 MeV-neutrons and of 235U for 2.6 and 8.2-MeV neutrons are given

AbstractAbstract
[en] Coupling a 4096 channel analyser to the minicomputer KRS 4200 via SI 1.2 and CAMAC an on-line experiment with open loop was developed to determine neutron emission cross sections in a wide energy range (1-40 MeV) by the two-dimensional measurement of the neutron time of flight and the corresponding proton recoil energy. The suppression of the experiment-specific and the cosmic background is realized by the use of a heavy shielding, the n/γ-resp. the n/u-discrimination and an anticoincidence method. A Fortran 4000/4200 (FOR 4200) program system including CAMAC application (control and data processing) arranges the data transfer as well as the check, correction, concentration and analysis of the measured spectra

AbstractAbstract
[en] The suitability of the ladle metallurgy CAB process (deoxidation and desulphurization with calcium and degassing with argon) is investigated for the manufacture of high-grade forgings for the construction of power-generating machines. The primary function of the CAB metallurgy, the improvement of the sulphide and oxide cleanness, was combined with established casting parameters so that the macrosegregates too in large forging ingots could be minimized. A comparison of various methods for the manufacture of large forging ingots revealed that the CAB metallurgy can meet demands, which so far could be satisfied by remelting technologies only. (orig.)

Das pfannenmetallurgische CAB-Verfahren (Desoxidation und Entschwefelung mit Calcium und Entgasung mit Argon) wird auf seine Eignung zur Herstellung hochwertiger Schmiedestuecke fuer den Energiemaschinenbau untersucht. Die primaeren Ziele der CAB-Metallurgie, naemlich eine Verbesserung der sulfidischen und oxidischen Reinheitsgrade, wurden mit bekannten Giessparametern so verbunden, dass damit auch die Makroseigerungen in grossen Schmiedebloecken minimiert werden konnten. Ein Vergleich verschiedener Verfahren zur Herstellung grosser Schmiedebloecke zeigte, dass die CAB-Metallurgie anforderungen erfuellen kann, die bisher nur mit Umschmelztechnologien erreicht wurden. [en] Several radiopharmaceuticals (sup(99m)Tc-Fe-ascorbates, sup(99m)Tc-Sn-DTPA, sup(99m)Tc-Sn-ACD-citrate-complex and sup(99m)Tc-Sn-tetracyclin-HAsc-ACD-complex) for renal and tumour scintigraphy were tested in animal experiments. Also tested was sup(99m)Tc-penicillamine for scintigraphic investigations of the gallbladder and the liver. The findings suggest that the different radiopharmaceuticals have different degrees of reliability and exactness, and that some of them should be combined to achieve better diagnostic values. In Tierexperimenten wurden verschiedene Radiopharmaka (sup(99m)Tc-Fe-Ascorbate, sup(99m)Tc-Sn-DTPA, sup(99m)Tc-Sn-ACD-Citrat-Komplex und sup(99m)Tc-Sn-Tetracyclin-HAsc-ACD-Komplex) zur Nierenszintigraphie und Tumorszintigraphie getestet. Ferner wurde zur Gallen- und Leberszintigraphie sup(99m)Tc-Penicillamin untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die verschiedenen Radiopharmaka unterschiedliche Aussagewerte besitzen und zum Teil kombiniert verabfolgt werden muessen, um bessere diagnostische Werte zu erzielen. [en] Of all radiopharmaceuticals, sup(99m)Tc-tetracycline has turned out to be the most efficient and to have a specific affinity for tumours. Due to its favourable physical properties, high doses can be given at relatively low radiation loads. Its pharmacological properties ensure that it is quickly eliminated from the rest of the body during enrichment in affinite tissue. Furthermore, it can be labelled at any time with an economical radionuclide. (GSE/AK)

Unter den verschiedensten Radiopharmazeutika hat sich sup(99m)Tc-Tetracyclin als besonders guenstig und spezifisch tumoraffin erwiesen. Es laesst wegen seiner guenstigen physikalischen Eigenschaften eine hohe Dosierung bei relativ geringer Strahlenbelastung zu. Es wird infolge seiner pharmakologischen Eigenschaften bei Anreicherung in affinen Geweben aus dem Restkoerper schnell eliminiert.
