AbstractAbstract
[en] Multiple myeloma (M M) is a neoplasm characterized by infiltration of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow, and is associated with high levels of monoclonal protein component or M. One of the key molecules involved in the pathogenesis of M M is the interleukin I L-6. This is a polypeptide belonging to the class of cytokines helical, having antiinflammatory activity and pro inflammatory and is secreted by a wide variety of cells. It has been found that high levels of I L-6 are directly related to the growth and survival of M M cell proliferation therefore I L antagonists may be of potential use therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. The Tocilizumab (Act emr To®) is a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against the receptor, both soluble and membrane I L-6 blocking cell signaling mediated by this. The possibility of combining Tocilizumab a gamma emitting isotope would determine l to topography where an increased expression of I L, with the consequent possibility that this associated with an infectious or neoplastic process is observed. In this way it could be used as a diagnostic method. Based on the above, the present work aims to develop the marking and evaluation of 99m Tc Tocilizumab, which could be used as diagnostic radiopharmaceutical to determine the location of the lesion and its extension, both debut in monitoring patients with multiple myeloma

AbstractAbstract
[en] Analytic methods were implemented based on valuations acid-base and redox for the quantitative determination of sodium hidroxid, iodine and iron chloride III, like part of a system of quality for the technical specifications of these reagents. The planning of its system of quality includes two fundamental parts: insurance and control of quality. In the insurance part the state of operation of the team that you uses settled down, gauges the one that achieve to maintain under the supervision of a single operator (electronic equip and glassware) and the design of the appropriate documents settled down to carry out the periodic supervision of the acting of the same ones and other aspects characteristic of the system (experimental results). Also protocolized and validated the analytic methods to use following the approaches of precision given by ASTM, organism whose methodologies are recognized in the country like official; other procedures, as that of calibration of the volumetric equipments, they were also protocolized. In the part of control of quality, the limits settled down and procedures were applied the scales and used other, to the necessary distilled water to carry out the determinations and to the used chemical reagents. With base in the obtained results you determines that the analyzed reagents fulfill the specifications of ACS (and with those reported by the maker) at the same time settled down that the laboratory 09 of the Chemistry School, used in a large part of development of this project, it didn't fulfill the necessary requirements so that it works as laboratory of control of quality. As an alternative, the administration of the School outlines as solution the use of the Laboratory of Insurance of the Quality from the Unit of Service to the Industry for such end

AbstractAbstract
[en] The synthesis of iron nanoparticles for the removal of metallic ions in polluted waters has been during the last years study topic for different world organizations. This work presents a synthesis method of conditioned coal with iron nanoparticles starting from the use of leaves of pineapple crown, with the purpose of using it in arsenic removal processes in aqueous phase. For the synthesis of this material, the leaves of the pineapple crown were used like supports structure of the iron nanoparticles. First, the pyrolysis appropriate temperature was determined. For the preparation of the support material, this had contact with a ferric nitrate and hexamine solution, because the preparation of the material and the coal synthesis were realized during the pyrolysis process, where the hexamine molecules and the ferric nitrate react, causing the reduction of the iron particles and their dispersion on the support material, obtaining as product a conditioned coal with iron nanoparticles. For the characterization of the materials were used techniques as: Scanning electron microscopy, Transmission electron microscopy, X-Rays Diffraction), X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Moessbauer spectroscopy; moreover was determined the isoelectric point and the density of surface sites. The arsenic sorption capacity of the materials was evaluated by means of the methodology type lots where was determined the sorption kinetics and isotherms in terms of arsenic concentration and mass. AbstractAbstract
[en] Piping processes are controlled by many interacting factors, such as the index of dispersion and the sodium content, SAR and ESP. To it is necessary to join the density of cracking and the slope of the hillsides on which it develops. In the study area climatic characteristics together with soil structure and chemical and mineralogical composition of the substrate has a key role in Pipings formation. Cracking is linked to the presence of dispersive clays with high contents in SAR and ESP, which give the rates of swelling until 12%. The process presence of piping is linked to two concrete situations: the massive intermediate levels of the intermediate Holocene filling sediments and the sediments deposited by the gullies: whereas in the tertiary materials it does not manage to develop. The size and scale of the pipes studied show a clear relationship among the level thickness, slope and hydraulic gradient. In the Holocene landfills the principal bounding factor is the levels thickness since the lower laminated levels do not facilitate the continuity in depth of the process due to the high number of discontinuities, generating centimeter-scale conduits that are always on duty to the drainage network. AbstractAbstract
[en] Starting from a fresh ground granite sample several fractions were obtained that correspond to the following size ranges: 250 mu m>x>125 mu m, 125 mu m>x>63mu m, 63 mu m>x>40 mu m, and x <40 mu m. In the first three fractions the light and heavy constituents were also separated using liquids of different densities. The lighter components were mainly Quartz (Q), Potassium Feldspar (KFd, Microcline) and Plagioclases (Plag., Albite); the heavier were Biotite, Muscovite and Chlorite (and other possible accessory minerals such as Andalusite and Apatite). At the same time that light constituents were separated in the three following fractions: a) Q+KFd+Plag b) Q+Plag c) KFd. (Author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Some triangular slope facets are localized to the south of Bardenas Reales (central-west of Ebro Basin), elaborated on Tudela Formation deposits, Aragonian in age. Three of them have been dated by OSL resulting on ages of 35,588±2,488 yr. BP, 35,355±2,446 yr. BP and 40.185±2,411 yr. BP. The origin of these facets is ought to an alternation between accumulation and incision phases produced by vegetation cover variation percentage. Those vegetation cover changes are estimated to be due to climatic changes. (Author) 21 refs.
