[en] Parameters of a polystyrene scintillator for the electromagnetic calorimeter of the PHENIX installation are studied. The scintillator was manufactured through casting under pressure by different compositions and concentration values of the scintillating additives. The data on the light yield and attenuation length for the scintillator plates, absorption and fluorescence spectra of the scintillation additives are presented. Effect of the plates on the light yield due to metallization of their lateral faces by the Al layer is studied. The value of the light yield from relativistic particle is measured for the electromagnetic calorimeter modules prototype. 2 refs., 8 figs

[en] Analysis of the efficiency value of hodoscope scintillation counters for accuracy of the muon energy determination by its run in a moderator is carried out through the analytical model and the Monte Carlo method with application of the GEANT program. It is shown that the accuracy and systematic shift in the run value does not depend on the counters efficiency beginning with ∼ 60%

[en] This paper presents the organization of the Scintillation Trigger System (STS) for the Liquid Argon Neutrino Detector of the Tagged Neutrino Facility. STS is aimed at the effective registration of the needed neutrino interaction type and production of a fast trigger signal with high time resolution. The fast analysis system of analog signal from the trigger scintillation planes for rejection of the trigger signals from background processes is described. [en] Consideration is given to design and physical characteristics of anticoincidence hodoscopes and muon spectrometer of the Tagged Neutrinos Complex facility, to the system of data acquisition from anticoincidence hodoscope. The use of anticoincidence hodoscope for blocking of trigger signal of neutrino detector, caused bu muons, traversed through absorbent filter, decreases 7 times the member of start-ups. Time resolution of trigger signal, produced by anticoincidence hodoscope equals 2.0 ± 0.1 ns, efficiency of relativistic muon detection on each plane of anticoincidence hodoscope is not worse, than 99%. 7 refs., 3 figs

[en] An automated bench for measuring the main characteristics of the FEhU-115 M photomultipliers used in the electromagnetic calorimeter of the PHENIX facility is described. Techniques for measurements of the linearity range of the output pulse anode current, amplification coefficient of a photomultiplier, the photocathode sensitivity nonuniformity and its quantum efficiency are considered. The following values of the FEhU-115 M main characteristics are obtained: the mean quantum efficiency is 13,6%, the minimum limit of the output signal linearity is 40 m A and the mean nonuniformity of the photocathode sensitivity is 3.4%
