AbstractAbstract
[en] In order to satisfy the requirement of beam injection and extraction of CSR, four magnetic septum will be used in the accelerator. In the design, the shape of the lamination is optimized by 2-D magnetic field calculation. Also, in order to decrease the leakage field and obtain a satisfied field distribution, a special auxiliary coil and a shield iron plate are considered and as well as the construction of the septum leg is treated in a special way. As a result, the leakage field is almost zero and the inhomogeneity is less than 0.1% even in the area very near to the septum leg

AbstractAbstract
[en] This article presents the basic principle of dipole integral magnetic field measurement. The integral coil which has the same radius with the dipole magnets was used to measure the integral magnetic field of different magnets in Cooler Storage Ring (HIRFL-CSR). The article also generally introduced the software and hardware systems of the automatic measurement device. According to the repetitive experiments, a suit of better measurement got to be summarized. On the other hand, the article recommends the way of the data processing which were decided by the measuring instrument and environment influence. The practical measured results proved the measurement system is reliable and stable

AbstractAbstract
[en] Septum magnet is one of the most important devices for beam injection and extraction in circular particle accelerators. Because of the high-field requirements with thin septa and low stray field, the structure of septum magnet is very complicated. In this paper, the design of septum magnet is shown in detail. Based on the finite element software OPERA, the magnetic field homogeneity and stray field distribution are analyzed. The magnet's fabrication is finished after structure optimal design. The measurement results show that the magnetic field homogeneity in good field region is better than the designed value. The stray field could reduce to 2 mT after shielding with high permeability magnetic material, which satisfies the physical requirements. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Magnetic measurement system is an indispensable part of National Scientific Major-project Cooling Storage Ring of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSR). Three measurement systems, Hall probe mapping, integral coils and harmonic coils system were developed. The structure and parameters of main devices were described in details in the paper. And the manufacturing technics and the checking results were also involved. By means of a long time repeat testing, it is proved that the repeatability and stability of the systems match the requirements of CSR. The systems are applying in CSR project now. (author)
