AbstractAbstract
[en] The test facility - presented here - was designed and constructed in order to make investigations on the load case 'airplane crash'. The facility consists mainly of the accelerator on a rail track, an abutment, a control centre, and a measuring-bunker.To perform a test the two parts of the accelerator - a compression chamber and an expansion tube (diameter 613 mm) - are strongly connected after the projectile has been inserted into the tube. The chamber - closed by a steel membrane - is filled with a mixture of methane and compressed air. The mixture is ignited and expands. The membrane opens and the projectile is accelerated. The velocity range can be varied between 80 and 300 m/s.The reinforced concrete slabs that are impacted during the main test series have the dimensions of 6.00 m by 6.50 m and a maximum thickness of 90 cm. During the test the slab hangs at a cross beam so that there is no friction between the specimen and the abutment. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This publication is a compendium on all aspects of radionuclide diagnostics concerning cardiovascular system diseases. Starting with introductory remarks on the control of cardiovascular diseases the contribution of radionuclide cardiology to functional cardiovascular diagnostics as well as pathophysiological and pathobiochemical aspects of radiocardiography are outlined. Radiopharmaceuticals used in radiocardiography, physical and technical problems in application of radionuclides and their measuring techniques are discussed. In individual chapters radionuclide ventriculography, myocardial scintiscanning, circulatory diagnostics, radionuclide diagnostics of arterial hypertension, of thrombosis and in vitro diagnostics of thrombophilia are treated in the framework of clinical medicine

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new non-invasive method for investigating total coronary blood supply is presented. This method is based on the principle of indicator dilution of a radio-nuclide bolus (99Tc), requiring a scintillation camera with high sensitivity and high picture resolution. The first findings obtained from 83 patients are shown. With 4.61+-1.19% of cardiac output the mean values of the rates of coronary perfusion obtained at rest in subjects with a normal heart differed significantly from those obtained for patients with certain coronary occlusions (8.18+-3.99% of cardiac output) and from those obtained for hypertensive patients (Stages I-III). Double examinations carried out on 20 patients yielded an adequate reproducibility. The main deviation of the double examinations from one another was 16%. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A 15N labelling test was used to characterize nitrogen and protein metabolism as well as cellular proliferation in patients with hypertension and arteriosclerosis. 15N-ammonia and 15N-urea excretions were measured by means of a 15N-ammonium test in twelve patients with arterial hypertension (grade II and III, resp.), following oral application of 15N-ammonium chloride. The results thus obtained were compared to values recorded from a control group. Incorporation of 15N into fibrinogen, lymphocytes, thrombocytes, and granulocytes was investigated in four patients. The possibility was established to determine alterations to nitrogen and protein metabolism in the context of various cardiovascular diseases. (author)
