[en] Wilson-Mikity Syndrome, a form of chronic lung disease, is rarely developed with the widespread use of mechanical ventilaton. There has always been difficulty distinguishing it from bronchopulmonary dysplasia. The etiology and pathogenesis of this disease are still unknown. There are no reports in Korean literature about high-resolution (HR) CT follow-up of this disease. Diffuse interstitial thickening, which was noted on the initial examination, decreased, but some focal hyperinflations remained on follow-up HRCT. Further studies with HRCT will help to understand the progression of the disease, and will help to develop treatment and management programs

Currently, many guidelines are used, including those of the European Association for the Study of the Liver and European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EASL-EORTC), National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), Asia-Pacific Primary Liver Cancer Expert (APPLE), and Korean Liver Cancer Study Group and National Cancer Centre (KLCSG-NCC). Although radiotherapy is commonly used in clinical practice, some guidelines do not accept it as a standard treatment modality. In this review, we will investigate the clinical practice guidelines currently used, and discuss the application of radiotherapy

[en] Residual stress is one of the causes which make defects in engineering components and materials. And interest in the measurement of residual stress exists in many industries. There are commonly used methods by which residual stresses are currently measured. But these methods have a little demerits: time consumption and other problems. Therefore we devised a new experimental technique to measure residual stress in materials with a combination of laser speckle pattern interferometry, finite element method and spot heating. The speckle pattern interferometer measures in-plane deformations while the heating provides for very localized stress relief. FEM is used for determining heat temperature and other parameters. The residual stresses are determined by the amount of strain that is measured subsequent to the heating and cool-down of the region being interrogated. A simple model is presented to provide a description of the method. In this paper, the ambiguity problem for the fringe patterns has solved by a phase shifting method

[en] The FCP behavior of FSWed 5083-H32 and 6061-T651 specimens were examined with the fatigue crack growing either parallel to the DXZ at variable ΔK values and an R ratio of 0.1 and 0.8, respectively, or perpendicular or 45 .deg. to the DXZ at various constant ΔK values and an R ratio of 0.1. Residual stress was measured on the top surface of FSWed plate either perpendicular or parallel to the welding direction and the residual stress-corrected ΔK, ΔKcorr, is calculated based on the Kres, the stress intensity factor at residual stress, for the DXZ specimens to quantify the compressive residual stress contribution to the FCP rates. The present study suggests that the FCP behavior of FSWed 5083-H32 and 6061-T651 specimens in the DXZ is mainly determined by the beneficial compressive residual stress reducing effective ΔK and the detrimental grain refinement causing intergranular fatigue failure. The FCP behavior of FSWed 5083-H32 and 6061-T651 specimens is discussed based on residual stress measurement and fractographic observation
