AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors perform the calculation of the nucleus-nucleus interaction potential of the dinuclear system with deformed nuclei. Based on the calculated results by properly treating the double-folding method, some results from the analytical expressions for calculating both the nuclear and the Coulomb interactions are investigated. It is concluded that the analytical formula to calculate the Coulomb interaction by Wong can reproduce good double folding results. However the results by the parametrized Morse formula, which are used to calculate the nuclear interaction, greatly deviate from the double folding results, unless the distance of nuclei is adjusted to be shifted to a smaller relative distance determined by the same distance between the nuclear surfaces as one of them pertains to the deformed nuclei. Using the double folding method to calculate the nuclear interaction and employing Wong's analytical formula to calculate the Coulomb interaction can keep good precision and can cost much less computation time. AbstractAbstract
[en] Large-sized CsI(Tl) single crystals, ∼φl00 mm x 350 mm, have been grown successfully, and this CsI(Tl) coupled with PD has been successfully utilized at RIBLL (the Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou) to measure the energy of heavy ions as a stopping detector. The performances of CsI(Tl) detector coupled with PD and APD have been tested and compared, including the temperature dependence of scintillating light yield. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Charge state distribution of 0.8MeV/u uranium ions after transmission through a thin carbon foil has been studied. It is observed that the charge state distribution is equilibrated after the uranium ions have passed through a 15 μg/cm2 carbon foil. The equilibrated average charge state is 33.72 and the charge equilibration time of uranium ions in carbon foil is less than 5.4fs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The inelastic scattering of 46.8 MeV antiproton by 12C leading to the excitation of one normal parity T=0 levels is studied in the framework of Glauber model. The transition densities obtained from fitting to the electron scattering data and the three annihilation potentials derived from analysis of (p-bar)p scattering data are used in the calculation. The inelastic angular distribution for exciting the lowest normal parity T=0 states in 12C at 4.44 MeV (Jπ=2+) by 46.8 MeV antiproton are calculated by selecting potential parameter suitably. The results are seen to be in fairly good agreement with the available experimental data. The results are given by comparing the elementary two-body amplitudes. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The state of the experiment to produce the new isotopes around Z=110 are presented in this paper. The emphasis is laid upon introducing the experiment purpose, the set-up and the feasibility for producing this objective nuclide. In the experiment the new isotopes were produced by the complete fusion-evaporation reaction of 238U with 270 MeV 40Ar at the Sector Focus Cyclotron (SFC) of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL). The reaction products were also transported and collected by using the helium-jet technique and rotating wheel apparatus. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Preparation process of C stripping foil used for the beam injection to Heavy Ion Research Facility at Lanzhou-Cooler Storage Ring was studied. The prepared C stripping foil was attached to a 'U-like' shape frame with a double layer structure to increase the strength of stripping foil. The prepared C foil had an effective area of 10 cm2 and the average thickness of 150 μg/cm2. the foil has a relatively long lifetime, and can be used in the ultra-high vacuum environments. the result from X-ray diffraction shows that the carbon in the stripping foil occurs as amorphous graphite. AbstractAbstract
[en] The excitation functions of two very similar reaction channels, 58Fe+208Pb→265Hs+1n and 58Fe+209Bi →266Mt+1n are studied in the framework of the dinuclear system conception. The fusion probabilities are found to be strongly subject to the structure of the driving potential. Usually the fusion probability is hindered by a barrier from the injection channel towards the compound nuclear configuration. The barrier towards the mass symmetrical direction, however, also plays an important role for the fusion probability, because the barrier hinders the quasi-fission, and therefore helps fusion.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new designed focal plane detection system was mounted at the gas-filled recoil separator at Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, which consisted of a time-of-flight (TOF) detector, a silicon-box (Si-box) detector array and a silicon veto detector. Three position sensitive silicon detectors (PSSD) were surrounded by eight side silicon detectors (SSD) without position sensitive, forming a box of the detector open from the front side. The detection efficiency for α-decays of implanted nuclei was about 80%. The anticoincidence condition for the signals from the TOF detector and Si-box detector array was used to distinguish between the pulses originating from the implanted nuclei and their α-decays. The veto detector information was used to discriminate events due to high-energy charged particles. External energy calibration and position calibration of PSSD are described concisely in this work. This system has been used in experiments of "4"0Ca + "1"7"5Lu and "4"0Ca + "1"6"9Tm. Clean α-decay spectra obtained in these reactions indicated the detection system has a good performance in background suppression. Evaporation residues can be identified by the energy-time-position correlation method. On the whole, the new designed focal plane detection system has achieved the design requirements. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The time resolution and spatial resolution of the large area scintillating fiber array (LASFA) detector were tested with beam at terminal of radioactive ion beam line in Lanzhou (RIBLL). The results show that LASFA's time resolution and spatial resolution are very good. The time resolution is about 128 ps, the spatial resolution is about 10 mm for 70 AMeV 26Mg beam, and the time resolution is about 158 ps, the spatial resolution is about 13 mm for RNB fragments. Combining ΔESi detector at RIBLL, the ΔESi-TOF spectra are given. As particle flying time stop detector, the LASFA's property is better than that of time acquisition system on RIBLL. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It introduced the working principle and testing process of the position sensitive detector on the gas- filled recoil separator. The previous methods of energy and position calibrations have been improved. The measured energy resolution of each silicon strip was 40∼80 keV (FWHM) for 8.785 MeV α particles and position resolution was <1 mm (FWHM). The correlated a decay chains of 227Th, which were produced by 24Mg + 232Th, were observed by the detector. (authors)
