AbstractAbstract
[en] A phenomenological description of nonequilibrium kinetics of colour centers in the borate glasses with protector additions of Fe2O3 was suggested on the base of the generation-stimulated processes. The analytical form of a solution was obtained for the concentration of colour centers depending on a dose and power of the radiation. The solution was analysed and compared with the experimental data for the hole colour centers with λmax=520 nm in the potassium-aluminium-borate glass without and with additions of Fe2O3. AbstractAbstract
[en] A phenomenological description of nonequilibrium kinetics of radiation-stimulations processes in the borate glasses is given. The thermo radiation effects in glass have been accounted by introduction of a new parameters (α2), which have meaning of velocity of radiation-chemical reaction of the zero order, whose value was changing with jump from the radiation time. For the glass K2O·Al2O3·B2O3 with protector additions of Fe2O3 the analytical form of the solution of the equation for the quantity of radiation defects from the radiation time is obtained and calculated results are compared with experimental dose dependence. AbstractAbstract
[en] Differences in the effects of reagents for the case when glass samples: a) are irradiated at the temperature of gamma-source channel 343 K; b) are remelted in gamma-field of 60Co (thermoradiation founding) are detected and compared. The comparison of the results, obtained in the present work for glass 14K2Ox86B2O3 with CuO additions according to the effect of fixed doses of γ-irradiation and thermoradiation leads to the indirect conclusion that irradiation at the temperature of γ-source channel promotes the consolidation of Cu2+ ion segregation range dimensions, whereas thermoradiation effect decreases them. As a result chemical equilibrium shift is possible during valence transformations of copper ions to the side of lower valence Cu2+ → Cu1+. The first conclusion agrees with electron microscopic studies, the other one is confirmed by the data of optical and ESR spectroscopy

AbstractAbstract
[en] Various thermalradiation effects are prospected and studied, arising at founding, tempering, annealing of glasses of different type. Studies are made on borate and telluride glasses. To induce stable radiation centers after the end of radiation high-temperature actions, glasses have been irradiated at room temperature. EPR spectra of radiation paramagnetic centers have been measured in cantimeter range, their signal intensity is proportional to intensity of inducino. of optical absorption bands. The change of radiation-optical stability of glasses has been estimated, new structural groupings have been singled out by comparison of EPR spectra of glasses before and after radiation treatment. Experimental results have shown that found thermoradiation effects mainly come to the change of interaction processes of glass melting with environment

AbstractAbstract
[en] The luminescence and paramagnetic absorption are studied of quartz glasses irradiated with various integral neutron fluxes and subjected to heat treatment in air at different temperatures. The correlation is found between the luminescence bands and EPR signals. The appearance of luminescence bands and EPR signals directed by neutrons was chiefly caused by fast neutrons

AbstractAbstract
[en] To reveal possibilities of obtaining assigued color tones of the fabricated glass optical absorption spectra of potassium-alumoborate glasses containing 0.1-1.5 % of F2O3 after irradiation in the channel of a gamma-unit with 60Co source with integral dose making up from 102 to 107 Gy are studied. It is ascertained that application of radiation coloring allows one the obtain controlable color tones of glass from blue to yellow with different darkening degree

AbstractAbstract
[en] Effect of a high-temperature irradiation of tellurite glass (83TeO2x17K2O composition) on its optical properties in particular transparency is studied. A high-temperature irradiation was conducted at 300, 350 and 400 deg C in a channel of a gamma source of 3000 R/S radiation power. Glass samples were exposed during 15, 30 and 60 min. It is shown that, depending on a chosen temperature for irradiation treatment, the radiation stability of glass made under oxidizing conditions can either increase or decrease. The possibility of changing the basic spectroscopic properties of original glass by means of additional high-temperature irradiation was discovered

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new mode of synthesis and treatment of glasses gamma-irradiated with 60Co (dose 1000...4200 R/s) is considened. Radiation-optical characteristics of alkali-borate glasses of compounds XR2O(1-X)B2O3 (X=0.8, 12, 18, 22, 28, 30, 35 mol. %, R=Na, K) with the additions of transition elements of CU, Ni, Fe are studied. The relative variations of absorption spectra (lambda=260...1200 nm) photoluminescence and EPR (lambda=3.2s) are defined. The obtained data show the possibility of improvement of radiation and chemical resistance of optical materials

AbstractAbstract
[en] Self-trapped hole (STH) and self-trapped exciton (STE) states which are formed in Y3Al5O12, Y2SiO5, and TR2Si2O7 crystals under γ-irradiation in the temperature interval of 77 to 200 K are investigated. The STH is shown to be molecular O23-, absorbing at 1.6 eV (for Y3Al5O12) and at 1.65 eV (for Y2SiO5) and causing the eleven-component EPR signal; the corresponding STE emits at 3.9 and 3.6 eV. In metal-doped crystals the exciton and hole delocalization lead to a decreasing of the emission energy, to a short-wave shift of the absorption band, and to the growth of the anneal temperature. At the self-localization temperature excitons are proved to migrate by jump diffusion and to transfer energy to the impurity ions exciting their emission. (author)
