AbstractAbstract
[en] In this thesis measurements with a jet gas target on the system 14N+14N for energies between 8 and 18 MeV (c.m.) are described. Spectroscoped were the channels p+27Al(< THETAsub(CM)>=173.40), α+24Mg (< THETAsub(CM)>=174.60 and 89.30), 8Be+20Ne (< THETAsub(CM)>=1.60 and 11.00), and 12C+16O(< THETAsub(CM)<=2.70, 10.70, and 90.60) with different low-lying excitation states of the residual nuclei. Only the excitation functions of the channels α+24Mg (< THETAsub(CM)>=174.60) and 12C+16O(< THETAsub(CM)>=10.70) were measured for the whole energy range. Contrarily to the studies on the system 12C+16O which leads also to the compound nucleus 28Si the measurements of this thesis give no hints to resonance structures. The energy-averaged excitation functions of 14N(14N,α)24Mg and 14N(14N,p)27Al agree well with statistical model calculations. The energy-averaged excitation function of the 12Csub(g.s.)+16Osub(g.s.) channel can be sufficiently described by statistical model calculations. However calculations for the channels 12Csup(*)+16Osub(g.s.), 12Csub(g.s.)+16Osup(*), as well 8Be+20Ne yield considerably smaller cross sections compared with the experimental data. This discrepancy indicates direct contributions. The optical model parameters used in the Hauser-Feshbach formalism for the calculation of the transmission coefficients were obtained for the entrance channel 14N+14N by a fit to the elastic cross sections of other measurements. AbstractAbstract
[en] In German nuclear power plants emergency measures for severe accidents have been developed. Some of these require actions by the shift within a few hours. Due to the great complexity and the expected stress. It is necessary to train shift personnel on a simulator. One of these scenarios is the complete loss of all feedwater supply. When the steam generators are empty, secondary side measures have to be done with highest priority in order to prevent the primary side from heating up. Secondary side measures are the depressurization with the following feeding of the empty steam generators using the pressurized feedwater tank or a mobile pump. The simulator has been set up for this feature and a first experimental training took place. The shift had no problems with the secondary side measures when using the emergency manual. On the contrary several measures taken by the shift delayed the evaporation of the steam generators for 3100 s in comparison to the anticipated evolution. That is a result of the great experience of the shift. Emergency training for severe accidents on the PWR III-simulator delivers useful experiences and knowledge for various fields: realistic shift task assignment, improvement of the emergency behaviour due to the shift's experiences, testing the emergency manual and testing of alarm phases should be mentioned. AbstractAbstract
[en] A differentially pumped, supersonic jet gas target has been constructed for use in low-energy nuclear reaction experiments with beams of light and heavy ions. The total target thickness as well as the density profile have been determined for various geometrical configurations of the nozzle-skimmer system and as a function of the reservoir pressure. The very compact system has some special properties which allow high energy resolution measurements of differential cross sections at angles close to the beam direction. In particular, the identification of low-energy heavy-ion reaction products at small angles has been achieved using the gas jet in connection with a specially designed ΔE-E annular detector telescope mounted very close to the target center. Different experiments have been performed and typical results are presented. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The main results of further investigations of resonance-like structures in 10B(10B,α) excitation functions performed by measuring the proton, deuteron and 8Be channels, and the alpha + 16O excitation functions are presented. Qualitative evidence is thus provided for the existence of intermediate resonances of probably quasimolecular alpha-particle structure in 20Ne, similar to those observed at lower excitations by alpha + 16O elastic scattering. 1 reference
