AbstractAbstract
[en] The spin studies at Nuclotron require fast and precise determination of the deuteron and proton beam polarization. For these purposes new powerful VME–based data acquisition (DAQ) system has been designed for the Deuteron Spin Structure setup placed at the Nuclotron Internal Target Station. The DAQ system is built using the netgraph–based data acquisition and processing framework ngdp. The software dealing with VME hardware is a set of netgraph nodes in form of the loadable kernel modules, so works in the operating system kernel context. The specific for current implementation nodes and user context utilities are described. The online events representation by ROOT classes allows us to generalize code for histograms filling and polarization calculations. The DAQ system was successfully used during 53rd and 54th Nuclotron runs, and their suitability for online polarimetry is demonstrated. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of the first extraction of the 3.42 A GeV 12C beam at Nuclotron and its transportation to the experimental area is presented. It is demonstrated that the beam parameters are sufficient for the first phase of the experiments on the studies of the dense baryonic matter at Nuclotron.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The tensor polarization of the deuteron beam arising as deuterons pass through a carbon target was measured. The experiment was performed with an extracted unpolarized 5-GeV/ c deuteron beam of the Nuclotron. The effect observed is compared with the calculations made using the Glauber multiple scattering theory.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of measurements of the differential cross section for elastic deuteron–proton scattering at the energy of 700 MeV per nucleon that were performed at the internal target station of the nuclotron at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR, Dubna) are presented. These data were obtained at angles in the range between 70◦ and 120◦ in the c.m. frame. The angular dependence obtained in this way is compared with world-averaged data at similar energies and with the results of theoretical calculations performed within the relativistic theory of multiple scattering.

AbstractAbstract
[en] In present work it is proposed to implement the data acquisition system (DAQ COMBAS) for the fragment--separator COMBAS under freely distributed UNIX--like operating system (OS) FreeBSD on base of the ngdp framework, which allows to build modular distributed DAQ. As a CAMAC subsystem the camac package (DLNP JINR) is used, which encapsulates code deals with each supported crate controller into corresponding driver. Authors create the driver kh(4) for the PCI adapter of the CC02 controller (Karazin Kharkov National University). The runtime configurable r2h(1) histogram server module is supposed. The histGUI(1) client module is intended for histograms viewing as well as for r2h(1) runtime control and configurating. The histGUI(1) client will not depend on DAQ and ngdp system libraries, so can be compiled under any OS equipped by the ROOT package.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A design for a ΔE-E detector to investigate deuteron breakup in the Nuclotron-M internal target in a deuteron energy interval of 300–500 MeV is presented. The high-voltage power supply system of the PMT-63, which is based on the computer-controlled Wenzel Electronik module, is briefly described. A light-emitting diode (LED) monitoring system for the ΔE-E detector is considered. The results of testing the ΔE-E detector using cosmic muons and deuteron beams of the Nuclotron are presented.

AbstractAbstract
[en] A study of spin effects at fragmentation of 9 GeV polarized deuterons into high momentum pions d-barA → π (θ) X was for the first time performed at Dubna polarized deuteron facility. Large D-state effects were observed at fragmentation of tensor polarized deuterons into cumulative pions at non-zero emission angles

AbstractAbstract
[en] A new high-energy beam polarimeter is proposed for Nuclotron, which uses the Internal Target Station (ITS). This polarimeter based on a measurement of asymmetry for the d–p elastic scattering will allow one to measure simultaneously both vector and tensor components of deuteron beam polarization. For this purpose an analyzing powers measurement for the d–p elastic scattering at energies Td = 0.88–2 GeV is proposed. The precise measurements of the deuteron analyzing powers over the energy range Td = 300–2000 MeV can give an irreplaceable clue to the study of the spin dependence of three nucleon forces.
