[en] The results of experimental investigations of the mass-kinetic energy distributions of fission fragments for nuclei lighter than radium are analysed for the excitation energy interval from threshold up to 60 MeV. Data on mass-energy distributions of fragments in the reactions 20Ne+112,118,124Sn at an energy of 20Ne E=140 MeV at E=124 MeV as well as the fission of the 124Ba nucleus in two ion-target combinations 12C+112Sn and 25Mg+99Ru are obtained. 48 refs

[en] By using the angular correlation method for measurement of the energies of two fission fragments, the mass and energy distributions of fragments in the fission of the compound nuclei 208Po and 210Po produced in reactions with 16O, 12C and 3He ions of different energies have been measured. The fission fragment total kinetic energy is found to grow with the increas of the angular momentum. This may indicate that there is a weak connection between the single-particle and the collective modes of motion in the fissioning nuclei and as a result of this the rotational energy transforms mainly into translational motion of the fission fragments

[en] From the experimental excitation functions of the fission of lead isotopes with A=199-204 we have obtained cross sections of the preemissive fission and the fission of the daughter nuclei produced during the evaporation cascade process. The values of experimental cross sections for the emissive fission indicate that while analysing the main characteristics of the fission of comparatively slightly fissioning nuclei one should not restrict oneself to the consideration of the fission of only the initial compound nucleus, as the role of the preemission fission increases with excitation energy. The experimental information on cross sections for the preemission fission of lead isotopes has been analysed in terms of the statistical fission model and under certain assumptions concerning the fission barrier structure and the energy dependence of the level density parameters. Satisfactory agreement between theoretical and experimental cross sections for the preemission fission has been observed. This indicates that the chosen model, which takes into account the influence of shell effects on the fission barriers and level density parameters, is suitable for describing the fission cross sections
