AbstractAbstract
[en] The form of the energy distribution of a monoenergetic alpha particle starting from some emitting source of these particles, it depends on the quantity of material that its cross before being detected. Some authors deposit to the radium-226 by means of direct evaporation of the solution on metallic supports, on millipore paper and by electrodeposition. Some other ones place the radium solution in scintillation liquid, to quantify it by this technique. The objective of the present work is using carriers with the same oxidation state of the radium, that is to say of 2+, for treating to be electrodeposited to the radium-226 with the biggest possible percentage for later use the alpha spectroscopy technique to quantify it. The carriers that have been used until its they are barium and zinc in form of barium chloride, zinc nitrate and zinc sulfate. The first results indicate that with the zinc solution a yield of 40% of electrodeposited radium has been reached. (Author)

[en] The study of the present work consists on designing a system to measure gas 222 Rn, using a surface barrier detector, in order to obtaining a more accuracy measure of this isotope by means of an alpha particle spectra and thus to try to avoid the influence of the radioactivity of the isotope descendants of short half life, which are also emitting of alpha particles, since by other methods its should make a series of corrections to obtain the real value of the radon activity. AbstractAbstract
[en] The 236U isotope in the determination of 234U/238U and 235U/238U ratios by alpha spectrometry was detected. Five commercially available uranium compounds were analysed. The well-separated peaks corresponding to uranium isotopes are evident, providing an energy spectrum of the alpha particles of these isotopes, which correspond to energies reported in the literature. AbstractAbstract
[en] The radium and the calcium belong to the same group in the periodic classification and as consequence both they present very similar chemical properties, that makes difficult its separation. Both elements are also frequently associate in the nature, the calcium is very abundant, the radium is not it and for that reason it is indispensable its separation to analyze to this last one. The alpha spectroscopy is very appropriate to analyze to the 226 Ra, however to achieve a good resolution of the spectra, the samples should contain small quantities of calcium. The purposes of this work were to know the chromatographic behavior of the alkaline-earthy cations: calcium, barium and radium and to apply these knowledge to the separation of the 226 Ra and its analysis by means of alpha spectroscopy. AbstractAbstract
[en] Different 99Mo and 99mTc species were separated from irradiated molybdenum trioxide. The MoO3 crystals were dissolved in 20% NaOH solutions and the pH was adjusted to 4.5. The samples were separated by the high tension electrophoresis technique. Several electrolytical solutions were used. Three chemical species were observed with 0.12 N HCl electrolytical solution; two of molybdenum and one of technetium. Four 99Mo and pertechnetate ion chemical species were obtained with 0.12M (NH4)2CO3 electrolytical solution. (author)
