AbstractAbstract
[en] By using the fusion-evaporation reaction 28Si(36Ar,p3n) and spectroscopy of β-delayed γ rays and charged particles on mass-separated sources, β-decay properties of the neutron-deficient isotope 60Ga were studied for the first time. The half-life of 60Ga was determined to be 70(15) ms, and, based on βγγ coincidences, the isobaric-analogue state in 60Zn was identified at 4851.9(7) keV. A semiempirical proton separation energy value of 70(70) keV was deduced for 60Ga. The experimental results on half-life, mass excess, proton separation energy, and structure of the 60Zn daughter states are discussed in comparison with various model predictions, including large scale shell model calculations. AbstractAbstract
[en] The high-spin investigation of 52Fe (N=Z=26) presents a particular difficulty due to the presence of a 12+ isomer, with T1/2=45.9(6) s which acts as a ''trap'' for the de-exciting γ-ray flux. In this contribution we present results from our investigations on the γ and β decays of the 12+ isomer performed at the GSI on-line mass separator. The excitation energy and precise γ-de-excitation branching ratios per parent decay have been established and are compared with the large-scale shell-model calculations performed with the KB3G and FPD6 interactions. AbstractAbstract
[en] The internal ionization accompanying the first-forbidden unique electron-capture decay of 41Ca was investigated. The integrated probability of electron ejection with energy greater than 38 keV was found to be (0.17±0.02) x 10-5 per K-capture. In this energy range, the measured spectrum of ejected electrons is fairly close to predictions of the simple theory of Primakoff and Porter, and of the relativistic theory of Mukoyama et al. By a model-dependent extrapolation of this spectrum toward low energies, the total probability of internal ionization in 41Ca was estimated and compared with relevant experimental results for other isotopes. AbstractAbstract
[en] The decay of extremely neutron-deficient isotope 45Fe has been studied by using a new type of gaseous detector in which a technique of optical imaging is used to record tracks of charged particles. The two-proton radioactivity and the β-decay channels accompanied by proton(s) emission were clearly identified. For the first time, the angular and energy correlations between two protons emitted from the 45Fe ground-state were measured. The obtained distributions were confronted with predictions of a three-body model. Studies of β-decay channels of 45Fe provided first unambiguous evidence for the β-delayed three proton emission. [en] The second forbidden unique β+ decay of 54Mn has been investigated. An upper limit of 1.4 x 10-7 for theβ+ branching ratio was achieved. This corresponds to the lower limit of 6.1 x 106 years for the partial half-life and value of 12.8 for the lower limit of logft of this second forbidden unique transition. 3 figs., 6 refs. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The β decay of 58Cu has been studied by means of total absorption γ-ray spectroscopy. The β feeding to the 58Ni states has been measured, and the strength of the 58Cu(1+) → 58Ni(0+) Gamow-Teller transition has been determined with improved accuracy. (orig.)
