[en] The exposure dose rate at 212 points in six shipping lines of the inshore and inland rivers has been measured and the average natural sources exposure dose rate which may be received by the travellers in each shipping line has got. The assessment of collective dose equivalent for the travellers on the shipping lines and the fishery people on the sea has done. In 1988, the collective dose equivalent from natural sources received by Chinese population travelled on the shipping lines of the inshore and inland rivers was 32.7 man·Sv, and the collective dose equivalent from natural sources received by fishery people on the sea was 265.3 man·Sv. The average dose equivalent rate from natural sources at various stayed point received by people of China is given

[en] Based on the definition of the new operational quantities for environmental (area) monitoring and requirement of energy response curve recommended by the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements (ICRU) report 39, a spherical ambient dose equivalent meter was developed. The experimental measurement for main performances and calibration for response factors were made. The experimental results showed that the energy response values of the ambient dose equivalent dosimeter were in agreement with those recommended by ICRU within +- 7% in the ranges of 33 keV-1.25 MeV

[en] The shortened upper leaf mutant was induced from Fuji Nigo by γ-ray irradiation. Fuji Nigo, the mutant, cross-cut F1, F2 and back-cross F1, F2 were used to analyze mutant heredity by comparative study. The yield, chlorophyll content, light intensity, dry matter of mutant were investigated. The results showed that (1) the mutant character was controlled by a couple of nuclear genes which were partial dominance; (2) the transmittance of the mutant colony was better than that of Fuji Nigo and bottom dry matter was much more than that of Fuji Nigo; (3) under the condition of high fertilizer and high plant population , the yield of mutant was higher than that of Fuji Nigo; (4) the content of chlorophyll a in the mutant was higher than that in Fuji Nigo
