AbstractAbstract
[en] A regional γ-ray radiation detection device was developed based on the bus structure using Si-PIN components as radiation detector. The device was composed of a detector unit, an onsite processing and display unit, and a device configuration section. When measuring the dose equivalent rate of γ-ray, the basic error of the decvice was less to 15%, the γ-ray responce was less to 20% of "1"3"7Cs response from 65 keV to 661.6 keV, the response for the incident angle in ±90° was in the 10% of 0° response. 9 electromagnetic compatibility testswere carried out for the device according to national military standards (GJB151A and GJB152A) and achieved the report. At the mean while, the device achieved the enclosure class test report according to a national standard (GB 4208) and test report of energy responses, angular responses and calibration factors according to a national measurement standard (JJG 393). AbstractAbstract
[en] In 1991, the International Commission on Radiological Protection, ICRP, enlisted air crew as a part of occupational exposure population. Chinese government, in 2002, promulgated and implemented the standards for controlling exposure to cosmic radiation of air crew GBZ 140-2002. This paper introduces the dose rate evaluation of cosmic radiation at the flight altitude and several common measurement methods and compares their calculations and results. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The RadCam 2000 gamma imaging system's software supplied by the manufacture cannot be run when the PC disconnected to the system's hardware, also cannot be used to analysis the results acquired, therefore, we have developed easyRadCam using Matlab GUI with the ability of generating the 'hot point' three-dimensional distribution by importing the results acquired, giving the counts distribution versus channel number. After the system be calibrated, we can get the energy spectrum, even the type of nuclides exist. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper presents a method for measuring α particle by the principle of ion collection and long distance α detector. the experimental determination showed that the detection limit of current is 12.15fA, a good relation exists between current and α source strength in the range of 11.13-4265.0 Bq. The contribution of various factors to background current was estimated. the study of application of this technique to measurement of α/β surface contamination and preliminary study of electrostatic α particle detector have been carried out. AbstractAbstract
[en] Silicon PIN diodes have been widely used as personal and areal dosimeters because of their small volume, simplicity and real-time operation. However, because silicon is neither a tissue-equivalent nor an air-equivalent material, an intrinsic disadvantage for silicon dosimeters is that a significant over-response occurs at low-energy region, especially below 200 keV. Using a energy compensation filter to flatten the energy response is one method overcoming this disadvantage. But for dose compensation method, the estimated dose depends only on the number of the detector pulses. So a weight function method was introduced to evaluate gamma dose, which depends on pulse number as well as its amplitude. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Ionization chamber is still being widely used in radiation monitoring because of its simple structure and convenience. Used in X or gamma ray monitoring, the energy response of the chamber needs intense investigation and proper compensation filters must be designed in order to achieve a constant sensitivity which is independent of the energy of the incident X or gamma ray among a specified error range. The Monte-Carlo method is used to calculate the sensitivity and energy response characteristics of cylindrical ionization chamber to X or gamma ray. According to the results of simulation, the energy compensation of chamber is studied and the optimized compensation parameters are given. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The temperature and radiation tolerance of detectors, used in reactor core, high energy experiment and outer space, is the focus of everyone's attention. SiC and GaN radiation detectors are presently developed for use in these conditions. Due to its wide bandgap, high displacement energy and electron mobility, SiC is currently the most promising alternative material to silicon for temperature and radiation hard detector devices, in future. AbstractAbstract
[en] In the system of γ radiation monitor, ARM microprocessor is used to control a kind of simultaneous sampling ADC to acquire 4-channel input signals in high speed serial interface. The paper presents the application of SPI to the serial communication between the LPC2300 ARM microprocessor and the high-speed ADC (AD7656-1), and describes the hardware connection of the ARM and the AD7656-1 as well as the implementation of its softeware design under μC/OS-II real time operation system, it alse gives a solution for the application of ARM embedded system to high-speed data acquisition.
