AbstractAbstract
[en] During the heavy-ion fission, neutron and charged-particle emission takes place from various stages namely from the fissioning compound nucleus (pre-scission) and from the accelerated fission fragments (post-scission). Pre-scission neutron and charged particle emission spectra and multiplicities pro- vide important information on the statistical and dynamical aspects of heavy-ion induced fusion-fission reactions . In case of α-particle emission, a part of pre-scission α-particles is also emitted very near the neck region which is termed as near scission emission (NSE). We have measured the α-particle energy spectra in coincidence with fission fragments for 16O + 232Th reaction at a beam energy of 96 MeV

AbstractAbstract
[en] Particle emission is a quite useful probe to gain insights about the complex fission dynamics. During the heavy-ion fission, neutron and charged-particle (mainly proton and α-particle) emission takes place from various stages namely from the fissioning compound nucleus (pre-scission) and from the accelerated fission fragments (post-scission). Presented in this paper are measurements of α-particle multiplicity spectra in 16O + 232Th reaction at various relative angles with respect to beam and the fission fragment direction

AbstractAbstract
[en] The representations of fusion barrier distribution were derived from the quasielastic excitation function measured at the backward angle in 11B, 12C, 13C+209Bi reactions at energies around the Coulomb barrier. The experimental fusion barrier distributions were compared with the predictions of simplified coupled-channels fusion (CCDEF) calculations with inclusion of various channels coupling because of low-lying inelastic states of target and one and few nucleon transfers. The influence of neutron transfer coupling on fusion barrier distribution has been discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] The α-particle emission near the scission point, termed as near-scission-emission (NSE), is a very sensitive probe to gain information about the scission configuration. These α particles exhibit characteristic energy and angular distributions corresponding to strong focusing of the particles by the Coulomb field of the nascent fission fragments

AbstractAbstract
[en] 19F Nucleus has been of interest for the understanding of the nuclear synthesis and abundances in the cosmos. Ground state of 19F is 1(+)/2 and is expected to be 2S1/2 proton state rather than a 1d5/2 proton state according to a standard shell model with spin orbit interaction. It has also been considered to be a 16O+t and 15N+α cluster structure with binding energies of 11.7 MeV and 4.7 MeV respectively. We represent the results corresponding to the pure direct 16O knockout compared with the PWIA. A FRDWIA study will provide us with the t+16O spectroscopic factor for 19F(g.s). The event mixing method described here can separate the resonance breakup contributions from the direct knockout components

AbstractAbstract
[en] The nuclear fission involving cataclysmic rearrangement of nuclear matter is a complex process. Reported in the present work are the investigations to explore the nuclear structure effects in the 32S + 238U fusion-fission reaction, for which ZPZT is 1472, and the prompt γ-ray spectroscopy was employed to obtain mass distributions at two incident energies around the Coulomb barrier
