[en] Present article is devoted to study of physicochemical characteristics of Yb14MnSb11 alloyed by yttrium. Methods for synthesis and growth of single crystals of new Zintl phases have been considered. Solid solutions of the Yb14MnSb11 type have been obtained. It has been shown that all obtained samples have a tetragonal structure of the Ca14AlSb11 type. The lattice parameters have been found. The coefficients of thermal expansion and melting points have been measured, and the Debye temperatures have been calculated. (author)
