AbstractAbstract
[en] The condition of Almaty heat supply as well as many other big cities that are large industrial centres is characterized by significant deficit of energy- generation powers and difficult ecological conditions. The last one is more important to be accounted for prediction and planning of the development of Almaty city generation because very danger ecological conditions is caused by not only the release of industrial and power enterprises and transport but to a great extent by the metrological, climate and geographic conditions of the city. The several variants of solution of the problem of Almaty power supply with help of different kinds of nuclear power sources that help to liquidate the existed deficit of heat and electrical power simultaneously on 15-20 % and decrease the quantity of harm plants release are examined in this report. It's suggested to use the improved nuclear units of a high safety that meet all international standards and requirements. Moreover, in some variants the use of heat supply atomic plants that are located not far from the city in combination with NPP situated in the area on Southern-Kazakstan hydroelectric station and in other variants the use of atomic heat power plants the area of which must be located at the distance of 20-25 km from city are provided. The further development of atomic power sources gives the possibility of cardinal solution of the problem of power organization in Almaty that will be ecological safe

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is noted, that for solution of Almaty energy supply it is advisably to put into operation unit of NPP with capacity 1,000 MW on South-Kazakhstan thermal power plant' site and construction of the first unit of Nuclear Heat Provision System. Investment cost for the nuclear reactor will not exceeds 1.3 billion US/dollars and for Nuclear Heat Provision System - 200 millions US/dollars. For the both projects the new generation reactors with enhanced safety were selected
