[en] Two methods of radiotherapy of rectal tumor are presented. Both the dosage distribution in each of them, and the reasons for radiotherapy employment by means of a native hose device ''AGAT-B'' are provided. The methods of gamma-therapy have been tried on 83 patients. The results obtained were analyzed with reference to 2- and 3-year survival rates. The character and manifestations of local radiation effects are discussed. It is thus concluded that radiotherapy of inoperable rectal tumor provides for a prolonged therapeutic effect. Moreover, radiation rectites, which are most manifest in combined radiotherapy are ameanable by drug treatment and do not significantly aggravate the patients' general status
