[en] For an arc source of solid matters of the steams obtaining method of these materials is designed by means of a special crucible - board, which is under a target cathode with a foramen. This method allows to regulate speed of sputtering of solid matter irrespective of drain and without movement of the welding rod, which one is sputtered at the expense of infiltration of gas-discharge plasma into a crucible with actuating medium. Sputtering or vaporization of this actuating medium by ions or electrons are abstracted from plasma. 8 refs.; 2 figs

[en] This paper reviews one of the possible variant of the electromagnetic separator for stable isotopes production using analyzing magnet with inhomogeneous magnetic field. Detailed beam optical calculations are described for chosen ion-optical scheme of the separator. Results shows this magnet can be used for isotopes production with excellent efficiency for any ion mass. Factors affecting the separation process - beam parameters, space-charge, aberrations, residual gas interact and etc., are discussed. 16 refs.; 14 figs.; 2 tab

[en] The computer program for a trajectory calculation of ions, which are extracted from U-240 isochronous cyclotron after charge striping on an internal target is developed. The trajectory calculation of extracted ions enables to choose an optimum position of a target in the internal volume of U-240 isochronous cyclotron. This gives us the possibility to minimize the ion losses during the extraction process

Modernization of the U-240 isochronous cyclotron in 19821983
AbstractAbstract
[en] Complex operations directed at the improvement of the physical parameters of the U-240 cyclotron and at the enhancement of the equipment reliability in the process of operation, at the reduction of emergency and other downtimes were carried out during 1980-1982. A multichannel electronic system of control and protection of transistor and other elements from thermal overloads in power circuits of the cyclotron supply had been introduced. Up-dating of the V4-generator equipment permitted to organize a remote and more accurate tuning of the resonance system frequency without entering the cyclotron room. Due to the work on modernization the time of cyclotron operation with the beam increased from 3400 hrs in 1980 to 3740 hrs in 1982
