AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper is devoted to bi-layer chiral metasurface with graphene half-petals. Numerical simulation in CST Microwave Studio confirms that changing of chemical potential of graphene leads to changing in transmission coefficients for this metasurface. Due to chirality, these coefficients are different for right-handed and left-handed circularly polarized wave. Thus, such metasurface can be used as tunable polarization-converter. (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] New approach to design beam splitter on basis of the transformation optics using angle constitutive parameters distribution of medium was proposed. The beam splitter was numerically simulated by COMSOL Multiphysics for terahertz frequency range. The numerical simulations were carried out for ideal and reduced constitutive parameters of medium for the case of TM plane wave

AbstractAbstract
[en] Recent demonstrations of the specific class of materials such as Epsilon-Near-Zero-materials (ENZ) cause a big interest because of their potential application for manipulation and control of the propagation of the radiation on subwavelength level. The latest experiments on these materials were realized in microwave, far-infrared and visible spectral range, but there were not any demonstrations in terahertz frequency range. In this paper, we present the research of ENZ wired metal-dielectric composites with effective permittivity ranging from 0 to 1 that was designed for application as a phase compensator in terahertz frequency range. Numerical simulation of the composites was calculated by the Finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD). (paper)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The samples of cells of mice's melanocytes have been investigated. Their optical properties and spectral features were investigated by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) in transmission mode. It was found that the optical properties of oncological melanocytes and normal cells are different and oncological cells have spectral features of absorption coefficient so it can be concluded that it is easy to discriminate mice's oncological skin melanocytes by using THz TDS. AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper provides a theoretical proof that the methods of transformation optics can be used for thermodynamics. Thermal conductivity tensor is calculated for the development of the thermal invisibility cloak, which directs the heat flux around a certain area. The finite element method was used to simulate the cloak with parameters close to real. The simulation was performed by the finite element method for two cases: with gradient k and with copper/mica layered structure. (paper)
