AbstractAbstract
[en] Theoretical and experimental results on an accelerator with an azimuthal electron drift are reported. Analytic expressions are derived for the ion current density and the average ion energy in the exit cross section of the accelerator channel. An analytic expression is also derived for the voltage--current characteristic of the low-voltage discharge. The theoretical results agree well with experimental data under conditions with a high mass utilization coefficient, eta/sub m/ > or = 0.5

AbstractAbstract
[en] The wave with exotic quantum numbers JPC=1-+ is studied in η'π-, ηπ-, f1π-, and ρ0π- systems produced in π-N interactions at pπ-=37 GeV/c in the high-statistics experiment at IHEP VES setup. The magnitude of JPC=1-+ wave in η'π- system significantly exceeds that in ηπ- system. Resonance-like structure with mass M=1.62±0.02 GeV and with Γ=0.24±0.05 GeV is observed in ρ0π- system

AbstractAbstract
[en] Large samples of Λ, Σ(1385) and Ξ(1321) hyperons produced in the deep-inelastic muon scattering off a 6LiD target were collected with the COMPASS experimental setup at CERN. The relative yields of Σ(1385)+, Σ(1385)-, anti Σ(1385)-, anti Σ(1385)+, Ξ(1321)-, and anti Ξ(1321)+ hyperons decaying into Λ(anti Λ)π were measured. The ratios of heavy-hyperon to Λ and heavy-antihyperon to anti Λ were found to be in the range 3.8 % to 5.6 % with a relative uncertainty of about 10 %. They were used to tune the parameters relevant for strange particle production of the LEPTO Monte Carlo generator. (orig.)
