AbstractAbstract
[en] A regulatory authority, Ministry of Science and Technology in Korea and the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety have approved and applied the nation's criteria of supplying reactor facilities in accordance with Minister's Notice No. 83-5, 'Criteria for Location, Structure, and Components of Reactor Facilities'. The review approaches in the process of licensing digital I and C systems have been emphasized on how to comply with relevant provisions of the Korean Atomic Acts and the fundamental acceptance criteria of U.S. 10CFR 50, Appendices A and B. In particular, with respect to digital I and C systems important to safety, the KINS requires the current requirements and guides applied to analog I and C systems, and also the specific positions regarding digital technologies. And the new Standard Review Plan (NUREG-0800) is a technical reference. The major licensing issues regarding digital I and C systems are safety classifications, software quality control including verification and validation, defense-in-depth and diversity analysis, qualification of electromagnetic environment, independence of data communication, etc. This report describes an Example of A typical licensing practice and the key requirements used in the example. The latter involves: Defense-in-depth and diversity analysis; Software category and requirements; Qualification of pre-existing software; Software safety hazard analysis; Qualification of electromagnetic environments; Data communications independence

AbstractAbstract
[en] The ratio of the structure function F2sup(A)(x) of a nucleus A to that of deuterium F2sup(D)(x)is computed for A = Fe, Al; 12C and 4He. The difference between lepton-nucleus and lepton-nucleon scattering is explained by a fraction g of the valence quarks of nuclear matter moving effectively in bags of doubled size (i.e. α's). The difference between EMC and SLAC data stems from the different effective quark mass, which is close to zero at -q2 = 100 GeV2, but (140 +- 25) MeV, at <-q2> = 3 GeV2. A cluster probability of g = 15% (10%) fits the Fe (Al) data well; g = 1/3 is predicted for 4He (and 12C) on grounds of the Barshay three gluon force. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The A-dependence of the EMC-effect, as recently measured at SLAC, has been calculated from the probability of forming > 3q clusters, by using the space-time wavefunction of valence quarks, and assuming nuclei to be in hexagonal or cubic dense packing. A fair fit to the x-distributions of sigmasub(A)/sigmasub(d) is obtained, investing the valence quark's average Fermi momentum and mass from our previous determinations. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Using the formalism developed by Samuel and Wess a general form of the Higgs potential in nonlinearly realized supersymmetric extention of the Standard Model in curved space is constructed. In flat space limit we derive bounds for Higgs boson masses and mass relations. Comparisons to the linear supersymmetric models MSSM and NMSSM are made. (orig.)
