AbstractAbstract
[en] Accumulation of 85Sr and 137Cs radionuclide blend in rats was studied. Effect of alginic acid, its salts as well as foods containing the polysaccharides on dynamics of accumulation was established. It was shown that efficiency of compounds studied depends on type of salt of alginic acid and presence of guluronic aid in it

AbstractAbstract
[en] Carried out are investigations on finding and comparative estimation of effective nutritive agents and nutritive additions which would reduce absorption and deposition in the organism of the most hygienically important radionuclides - cesium-137 and strontium-90 and increase resistance to chronic intake. In 3 series of experiments on 330 puberal rats (females) during 500 days studied are the effect of different diets on accumulation of these isotopes, weight dynamics, the state of wool cover, lifetime and quantity of neoplasms to the end of investigations. The animals daily have got 5x10-7 Ci137Cs and 2.5x10-7Ci90Sr. It is shown that changes in diet lead to reduction of accumulation of 137Cs and 90Sr in the rat organisms. Established is favourable effect of methionine which has reduced lethality of the animals and prevented their death from neoplasms

AbstractAbstract
[en] Significant increase in thyroid gland diseases as a result of radiation, endemic factors and unbalanced nourishment needed for the development of effective prophylactic measures. The scientists of Research Center for Radiation Medicine have realized a complex approach to the solution of microelement deficiency problem, i.e. creation of food substance, medications enriched with both iodine and a complex of microelements, vitamins, polysaccharide and other nutrients for prophylaxis of thyroid, erythroid, immune system diseases and minimization of internal irradiation dose

AbstractAbstract
[en] A brief characteristic of the results of the use f a series of chemosorptional fibers and materials on their basis for solving ecological problems is provided. Conditions for fiber preparation by cycling of grafted copolymer Ts-PAN, featuring static exchange capacity in terms of cadmium (2) ions, equal to 45 mg/g, are described. Characteristics of sorbents on the basis of the TsM-A2, TsM-KT, mtilon-T fibers, used for the determination of radionuclide concentration (137Cs, anionic forms of iodine) in process water of NPP and reservoirs, as well as chemosorptional fiber Ts-KF, which can exract 137Cs selectively from milk contaminated by radionuclides, are presented
