AbstractAbstract
[en] We have perfected an injector consisting of a sputtering ion source and a small isotope separator. Results in July 1997 were remarkable: hyperfine structures of 12 platinum isotopes were measured of which 8 were new. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The γ and e- emitted by 188Tl (Tsub(1/2)=71s) nuclei on-line mass separated at Isocele (Orsay) have been studied and a partial level scheme of 188Hg nuclei established. It shows how Hg nuclei of unstable oblate shape become critical nuclei (β2γβ3Δ unstable) at A=186
[fr]

AbstractAbstract
[en] A study of the thermal and physical properties of graphite targets for the SPIRAL project is presented. The main objective is to develop an optimized set-up both mechanically and thermally resistant, presenting good release properties (hot targets with thin slices). The results of irradiation tests concerning the mechanical and thermal resistance of the first prototype of SPIRAL target with conical geometry are presented. The micro-structural properties of the graphite target is also studied, in order to check that the release properties are not deteriorated by the irradiation. Finally, the results concerning the latest pilot target internally heated by an electrical current are shown. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] We present a general survey of the various target experiments performed with the new ISOCELE 2 separator, on-line with the improved Orsay synchrocyclotron (present intensities: up to 2 μ A-200 MeV p, 1 μ A-283 MeV 3He). We use a versatile plasma ion-source of the Bernas-Chavet type, with the target inside the arc chamber. Results and tests on various melted metal targets are described; chemical evaporations and reactions in the ion-source are obtained by addition of reactive gases. Particularly, we exploit isobaric separations on mono or difluoride molecular ion-beams. For instance, the first selective on-line separation of neutron deficient La isotopes were observed with this process. Difluoride La ion-beams show a very weak mixing with Ba and Cs isotopes. (orig.)
