AbstractAbstract
[en] This paper deals with the results of isomer ratio measurements for nuclei 110m,gIn and 108m,gIn from photonuclear reactions 113In(γ, 3n)110m,gIn, 115In(γ, 5n)110m,gIn, 115In(γ, 7n)108m,gIn. Bremsstrahlung energies varied within (34 division 43) MeV for 113In(γ, 3n)110m,gIn reaction, in energy region (43 division 100) MeV for 115In(γ, 5n)110m,gIn and 115In(γ, 7n)108m,gIn reactions. The instrumental gamma-ray spectra of irradiated target specimens have been measured with high purity germanium semiconductor spectrometer. The isomer ratio results and dependence of isomer ratios upon maximal Bremsstrahlung energies within selected range are obtained and discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Values of the isomer ratios for nuclei 104Ag, 110In, 108In as products of the photonuclear reactions 107Ag(γ, 3n)104m,gAg, 113In(γ, 3n)110m,gIn, 109Ag(γ, 5n)104m,gAg, 115In(γ, 5n)110m,gIn, 115In(γ, 7n)108m,gIn were obtained using electron linear accelerator LU-40 bremsstrahlung with endpoint energies ranged within (32 - 84) MeV for irradiation of targets. Energy resolution of electron beam was about 1% and mean electron current was near 5 μA. Method of the induced activity was used to obtain experimental isomer ratios.

AbstractAbstract
[en] The VEPP-2000 e + e − collider has been operated in the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics since 2010. Experiments are carried out with two detectors CMD-3 and SND. The calorimetry at the CMD-3 detector is based on three subsystems, two coaxial barrel calorimeters—Liquid Xenon calorimeter and crystal CsI calorimeter, and end cap calorimeter with BGO crystals. This paper describes the procedures of the energy calibration of the combined barrel calorimeter of the CMD-3 detector.

AbstractAbstract
[en] Purpose: To evaluate the recovery of the gastrointestinal tract in lethally irradiated mice treated with human cord blood and antibiotics. Materials and methods: A/J mice were randomly assigned to seven study groups, including groups exposed to acute 9 Gy from 137Cs γ-rays to the whole body. Four hours after irradiation, exposed mice were treated with either cord blood nucleated cells, Levaquin, or a combination of both. Weight gain/loss and survival were monitored for 2 months. Upon death or euthanasia, the organs were prepared for molecular and histological analyses. Results: Whereas irradiated mice (n = 9) lived 6–15 days, ∼ 60% of irradiated mice that received the combined treatment (n = 7) survived more than 50 days. None of the treated animals developed Graft versus Host disease. All animals lost weight after irradiation; however, the 50+ days-survivors (n = 4) gained on average ∼1.8 g over their initial weight. Whereas hemorrhagic bone marrow and large areas of transmural necrosis were observed in the bowel of the irradiated mice, the 50+ days-survivors showed recovery of the bone marrow. They behaved normally and had significant but incomplete recovery of the intestinal and colonic mucosa. Human DNA was detected in their organs, particularly in the large intestine. Conclusion: Red cell-depleted cord blood transfusions combined with antibiotic treatment contribute to bone marrow and gastrointestinal recovery in high dose-irradiated mice, and may be an available therapy for mass casualties during radiological emergencies.
