AbstractAbstract
[en] The time-resolved spectroscopy measurements were used to study the kinetics of energy transfer process in the pulse radiolysis of xenon- fluoro- and chlorofluoromethanes mixtures. The main channel, at xenon pressure above 40 Torr, seems to be of third order, while at lower xenon pressures the second order process was the main one

AbstractAbstract
[en] Based on the model of the interaction between the particle flux, emitted from the gravity centre of a spherical source, and the plane, being in a distance r from the centre, it is possible to derive relations between the area under the photometric curve and the radioisotope concentration or particle diameter. These relations have been verifyed experimentally using spherical ion-exchange resin particles loaded with various amounts of 141Ce

AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibility of a quantitative extraction of thorium from chloride solutions of lanthanide concentrates with TBP and D2EPH solution in hexane has been investigated. The studies have been performed on standard solutions. The influence of various parameters on extraction and determination of thorium has been estimated. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A review of literature on the analysis of lanthanides performed by means of UV and IR absorption spectrophotometry, luminescence, spectral emission analysis, atomic absorption, mass spectrography and spectrometry as well as by ion exchange chromatography is given. It has been found that in direct and simultaneous determination of many lanthanides occuring over a wide concentration range the most precise results are obtained by the mass spectrography and ion exchange chromatography with fluorescent indicators. AbstractAbstract
[en] The gaseous mixtures of Ar-H2O were electron pulse (12 ns) irradiated and formation/decay kinetics of the hydroxyl radicals was studied using time-resolved emission spectroscopy. The quenching rate constants for both excited argon atoms (Ar*) and OH(2Σ+) radicals were found in good agreement with the literature values. The rate constants k1a=8.1±0.4x10-10 cm3 s-1 and k5=7.61±0.28x10-10 cm3 s-1 were determined for the first time. The very fast termolecular process Ar*+Ar+H2O→products with k=1.8±1.4x10-29 cm6 s-1 was demonstrated to occur and must be included into the reaction mechanism
