[en] Several of the North Sea oil fields produce depositions (scale) on the inside of production equipment with enhanced concentrations of natural radioactivity. This may cause internal and external exposures to personnel working with contaminated equipment. Activity concentration in solid-state samples and production water, and doses to workers involved in different operations off-shore, have been measured.
