[en] Using the freon filled bubble chamber SKAT in the (anti)neutrino wide band beam of the Serpukhov accelerator we determine the neutral to charged current cross section ratios for neutrinos and antineutrinos below 30 GeV. From these ratios we calculate in leading order a mixing parameter of the standard model of sin2THETAsub(w)=0.215+-0.029. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The cross-sections of neutrino and antineutrino quasielastic reactions νn→μ-p, anti νp→μ+n, anti νp→μ+Λ were studied in the neutrino energy range between 3 and 30 GeV. In comparison with V-A theory axial mass parameters of MA=(1.06±0.05±0.14)GeV/c2 from neutrino and MA=(0.71±0.10±0.20)GeV/c2 from antineutrino data were found. Total cross-section for the hyperon production process can be described by MA=1.0 GeV/c2. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Studying the coherent diffractive production of pions in neutrino and antineutrino scattering off the nuclei of freon molecules we have observed for the first time in one experiment all three states of the isospin triplet of the axial part of the weak charged and neutral currents. For the corresponding cross sections we derive sigmasup(ν)sub(coh)(π+)=(106+-16).10-40 cm2/< nucl.> sigmasup(ν)sub(coh)(π-)=(113+-35).10-40 cm2/< nucl.> and sigmasup(ν)sub(coh)(π0)=(52+-19).10-40 cm2/< nucl.>. Comparing our data with theoretical predictions based on the standard model of weak interactions we find reasonable agreement. Independently from any model of coherent pion production we determine the isovector axial vector coupling constant to be vertical strokeβvertical stroke=0.99+-0.20. (orig.)

[en] The production of μ-e- pairs is studied in interactions of neutrinos with nuclei of heavy freon in the SKAT bubble chamber experiment. A rate of μ-e- pairs charged current interactions of R sup(μ-e-)=(2.5±4.31.4)x10-4 is found at an average neutrino energy of 10 GeV. The ratio μ-e-/μ-e+ comes out to be μ-e-/μ-e+=0.12±0.220.08. [en] We present the final results from the search for μe pairs produced in neutrino interactions using the freon filled bubble chamber SKAT. The rate of μ-e+ pairs to charged current events above the charm threshold is R sub(μ-e+) = (4.8±1.1) 10-3. Assuming charm particle production to be the origin of the positron we calculate R sub(Λc+) = (6.2±3.1) 10-2 and RD = (2.8±0.9) 10-2. We observe no considerable μ-e- pair production above the background. In the region Eν > 3 GeV, pμ,e > 1.0 GeV/c and pμ > pe we find with a 90% confidence level the limit R sub(μ-e-) < 1.7 10-4. [en] We present data on the multiplicity structure of inclusive charged hadron production in charged current neutrino and antineutrino freon interactions in the energy range 3-30 GeV resulting from an experiment with the bubble chamber SKAT. Average multiplicities, dispersions and correlation coefficients are investigated. Furthermore, KNO-scaling is studied and average net charges are calculated in different kinematical regions. Our data are compared with result from ν-interactions on an isoscalar target of ''free'' nucleons to study the influence of nuclear effects. (orig.)
