AbstractAbstract
[en] Potential harmonics of states of anomalous parity are constructed for the various components of the NN potential with restriction as to number of particles. Theoretical formulas are obtained in the approximation K = Kmin+1 for a realistic NN interaction. In this approximation the negative-parity levels of the 16O nucleus are calculated with the GPT and Volkov potentials. The results are compared with experimental data and with calculations of other authors. The role of t, LS, LL, and (LS)2 forces in forming the spectrum of anomalous-parity levels is investigated

AbstractAbstract
[en] The normal-parity low-lying states of the nuclei /sup 6,7/Li, 14N, and /sup 15,ts16/O are calculated in the basis of the fundamental and potential harmonics, using seven variants of a realistic NN interaction. A linear dependence of the binding energies and of three distances between levels with different isospins on the weight P/sub D/ of the D wave in the deuteron is established. A value P/sub D/ = 4.5 +- 0.1% is predicted

AbstractAbstract
[en] With the purpose of improving the convergence in the method of hyperspherical functions, we introduce pair correlation operators. This makes it possible to perform calculations with rigid NN-potentials where a direct variational calculation would be practically impossible. We obtain a set of nonlinear differential equations for the radial parts of the pair correlation operators. The new approach is used to compute the ground state of the 4He nucleus for several realistic NN potentials. The results can be used to estimate the contribution of the potential harmonics in the hyperspherical function method to the binding energy of the nucleus

AbstractAbstract
[en] A numerically exact scheme of calculation of light nuclei is developed in the basis of the main harmonic and of all potential harmonics with the use of pair-correlation operators. All approximations are evaluated and the P model is improved. In a numerically exact scheme the 16O nucleus is calculated with different variants of a realistic NN interaction. Reasonable agreement with the results of the method of bound clusters is found. It is shown that more accurate calculations do not change the conclusion that a simultaneous description of the binding energy and the radius of light nuclei with a unique NN interaction is impossible

AbstractAbstract
[en] We consider the possible existence of bound states of the multineutron systems 3n, 4n, 6n, and 8n in the framework of the method of angular potential functions. An algorithm is developed for p-shell nuclei with a realistic NN interaction, and is implemented for the trineutron. It is shown that these systems have no bound states
