Processing of radioactive wastes from nuclear power facilities with LWR reactors. Pt. 21985
Processing of radioactive wastes from nuclear power facilities with LWR reactors. Pt. 21985
AbstractAbstract
[en] The program is described which is aimed at determining and analyzing all technologically permissible configurations of the system for treating radioactive wastes from nuclear power plants. The program is based on a range of so-called unit operations which are represented, e.g., by the evaporator, bituminization, cementation, etc. Each unit operation is characterized by the number of inputs and outputs described by vectors whose dimension is fixed and may be up to 50, by conditions of applicability and by transform rules. The configuration is conceived as a system of unit operations together with a description of their interconnection. The current version of the program written in Fortran IV only produces non-cyclic configurations but a version is being prepared which will include the recycling of certain intermediate products. AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper a brief overview of the performed PSA at Temelin NPP is given. The activities dealing with PSA level 2 update (2002-2003) are listed and the main results are discussed. Based on the obtained results the following conclusions have been made: containment failures 'moved' from 'early' to 'late' categories thanks to SAMG measures (penetration plugs, corium barriers); low frequency of overpressure failures; hydrogen recombiners important both for early and late containment failures; uncertainty of source terms due to insufficient and inconsistent analyses data; one early failure and two bypass scenarios found to be most important from frequency/radiological consequences viewpoint

AbstractAbstract
[en] The Temelin NPP is a WWER-1000/320 two unit plant under construction. This paper briefly discusses the characteristics of data sources that were used to estimate the initiating event frequencies, component reliability parameters, unavailabilities due to maintenance, common cause failure probabilities and human error probabilities in the frame of Temelin PSA Project covering Level 1 for both at power and non power modes of operation, external events and the Level 2 analysis.
