AbstractAbstract
[en] The staging of 15 renal pelvis and ureteral tumors were evaluated by MRI retrospectively. T2WI-HASTE and post-Gd. enhanced fast-suppressed T1WI-FLASH sequence were used. The accuracy was 80.0% in all. Each accuracy of renal pelvis carcinoma, ureteral carcinoma was 66.7%, 88.9%. MRI was valuable in diagnosis on ureteral carcinoma. MRI may be useful modality in staging of renal pelvis and ureteral carcinoma. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The detectability of helical CT was examined at the purpose of applying to colorectal cancer screening. Helical CT was performed on large intestine filled with air immediately after the endoscopy. Subjects were 30 cases (53 lesions) who were found lesions by colonofiberscopy. Thirty-eight lesions (72%) were detected by helical CT. By every diameters, 8 of 9 in the lesions more than 20 mm (89%), 12 of 13 lesions in 11-20 mm (92%), 11 of 13 lesions in 6-10 mm (61%) and 7 of 13 in the lesions less than 7 mm (54%) were detected. Excepting the cases with the imperfect dilation of the intestinal duct, all lesions more than 11 mm in diameter were detected. These results indicate that helical CT after the air injection to large intestine is useful for colorectal cancer screening. (K.H.)
