AbstractAbstract
[en] Experiments on deuterium implantation into Pd and Ti targets and investigation of neutron and charged particle emission from irradiated targets were performed. Palladium films (δ 150-600 nm) deposited onto the oxidized nickel substrates as well as titanium foils (the thickness of 300 nm) were irradiated with 25 keV ions at T = 100 K. The neutron detector counting rate rised during deuterium saturated targets cooling from 100 to 78 K after irradiation as well as on heating samples in the temperature range 78-1300 K. The maximum intensity of the hypotetical neutron source was ∼ 102 nxs-1 in the solid angle of 4Π. In the same conditions as for the case of neutrons the charged particle 3He (0.86 MeV), T (1.01 MeV) and p (3.02 MeV) emission was detected. The emission intensity of charged particles was by one order of magnitude less than that of neutrons

[en] Bombardment of Ti with a deuterium ion beam has revealed that the implantation into titanium leads to structural transformations in the implanted layer. It was shown that the nature of structural transformation was purely chemical,and the structural transition was due to the formation of titanium hydride TiD2. A high-temperature annealing of irradiated films leads to the disintegration of TiD2 which was formed as a result of ion implantation. AbstractAbstract
[en] The thermodesorption (TD) spectra structure studding of deuterium from thin films (δ=260 nm) and bulk (δ=300 nm) titanium samples, implanted by ions of D2+ with energy 25 keV at two temperatures of irradiation ∼ 100 and ∼ 330 K was carried out. The dependence of TD spectra structure on the irradiation dose from 1 · 10 16 to 5 · 1018 D/sm-2 has been studied. It is shown, that the structure of these spectra is a function of the dose and irradiation temperature. The spectrum structure becomes more complicated due to the appearance of new peaks with the growth of irradiation dose. At D=2 · 1018 sm-2 and T ≅ 100 K four pears with the temperatures of maximums at 200, 800, 1100 and 1350 K are observed in the thermodesorption spectrum of bulk sample. The activation energies for peaks with maximums at 200, 800 and 1350 K, which equal to 0.12; 1.1 and 3.1 eV, respectively, are defined. The difference between the thermodesorption spectra from bulk samples and thin Ti films, which consist in absence of peak with T ≅1350 K in spectra from thin films, is revealed. The results obtained in the work are explained from the point of view of binding of the thermodesorption processes with phase transformation in Ti-D system
