AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental momentum distributions for the transitions to the ground state and first excited state of 6He have been measured via the reaction 7Li(e, e'p)6He. They are compared to theoretical distributions calculated with mean-field wave functions and with variational Monte Carlo (VMC) wave functions which include strong state-dependent correlations in both 7Li and 6He. These parameter-free VMC calculations reproduce the measured data, including their normalization. This is the first successful comparison of experiment and ab initio theory for spectroscopic factors in 1p-shell nuclei

AbstractAbstract
[en] The present status of the instrumentation for (e,e'X) coincidence experiments and photopion production is reviewed. With the availability of high resolution in missing energy (<200 keV) and sub-nanosecond coincidence timing with two magnetic spectrometers a new generation of proton knockout experiments will be feasible. A series of approved experiments now underway will be discussed. The authors show some first results and discuss future developments in experimentation. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental form factors for electron scattering from ground state magnetization distributions allow the determination of magnetic multipole moments and of radii of valence nucleon orbits. Recently obtained data are compared with theoretical predictions, which comprise Coulomb distortion, Woods-Saxon wave functions, configuration mixing and meson exchange currents. AbstractAbstract
[en] A survey is given of the results of magnetic elastic scattering experiments obtained with 1800 systems. Apparatus and theoretical background are only briefly discussed; the emphasis is on the analysis of magnetic form factors and their comparison with theoretical calculations. (Auth.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A survey is given of the results of electron scattering from the ground-state magnetization distributions of nuclei. Magnetic form factors are computed in PWBA using the single-particle model and harmonic-oscillator radial wave functions. In this framework a general expression is derived for the static magnetic multipole moment Mlambda. These predictions are compared with the results of many-body-shell-model calculations and with experimental results obtained from electron scattering through normal angles and through 180 deg

AbstractAbstract
[en] The apparent discrepancy between spectroscopic factors obtained in (e,e'p) and (d,3He) experiments is investigated. This is performed first for 48Ca(e,e'p) and 48Ca(d,3He) experiments and then for other nuclei. It is shown that the discrepancy disappears if the (d,3He) experiments are reanalyzed with a nonlocal finite-range DWBA analysis with a bound-state wave function that is obtained from (e,e'p) experiments
