AbstractAbstract
[en] This study is part of a quality assurance programme evaluating the performances of two connected on-line systems - automatic dosimeter and treatment planning - according to the recent ICRU No. 42 recommendations. This verification involves comparison of computer generated dose estimates and correct values. The comparison can be carried out using isodose charts, profiles and point dose values. To study the accuracy of a treatment planning system (TPS) two methods can be used, either input the basic beam data of one particular treatment unit into different TPSs or use the local TPS with the local basic beam data. We chose the second method which needs accurate basic dosimetry consisting of a large amount of data which must be transferred to the TPS. The steps must be accurate and automatic. Therefore interfaces between the different systems are required. The steps of the programme are listed. We report and discuss some results relative to the steps of our programme and present the problem of interfacing the system. (author). 22 refs., 15 figs., 9 tables

AbstractAbstract
[en] An indoor radioactive survey is being conducted in an Italian district. Preliminary results identified a zone with significant radioactive levels, in which a new specific survey has been planned. In this paper attention is dedicated mainly to radon measurement technique and results
