AbstractAbstract
[en] According to the feature extraction theories for the electromagnetism signals, the source characteristic of NEMP and its propagating laws, feature extractions are carried out for the mid-far-distance NEMP waveforms using wavelet, fractal and genetic algorithm. The results show that the features availed are easy for recognition, and this method is worthy developing, studying and using

AbstractAbstract
[en] There mainly are three methods which can be used to measure crater parameters after burst of Earth-penetrating Nuclear Weapons now. They are direct measure method, geophysical imagery among wells method and remote sensing measure method. In this article, the basic principles of these measure methods are explained briefly, their characteristics are analyzed and the comparison in many aspects of these methods is accomplished according to the sizes of crater after burst of Earth-penetrating Nuclear Weapons from the angle of military demands. At last, a viewpoint that the InSAR method is the best measure method which can meet military demands is pointed out. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Auger rates for Au were calculated by quasi-relativistic configuration-averaged method, with the wave functions obtained by Cowan's codes. Firstly, 'configuration-to-configuration Auger rates' for He-like to Dy-like gold were calculated. Then 'Auger rates for single electron' for average atom model (AAM) with and without ι-splitting were both obtained by averaging the configuration-to-configuration rates. Our data were evaluated through the comparison with other results calculated from more detailed codes, including Cowan's codes, flexible atomic code and fully relativistic codes. The evaluation shows that most of our data are reliable except those with high orbital quantum number ι, which were replaced with valid data obtained by other codes. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Developments of radiological dispersion models are reviewed first in this article. Simulation results of 9 regional atmospheric models for the transportation of radioactive materials are introduced. The use of atmospheric dispersion modeling as a support tool for emergency planning and response is also introduced. Counter measures are suggested to challenges emerged. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Ultrafast laser experiments on metals usually induce a high electron temperature and a low ion temperature and, thus, an energy relaxation process. The electron heat capacity and electron-phonon coupling factor are crucial thermal quantities to describe this process. We perform ab initio theoretical studies to determine these thermal quantities and their dependence on density and electron temperature for the metals aluminum and beryllium. The heat capacity shows an approximately linear dependence on the temperature, similar to free electron gas, and the compression only slightly affects the capacity. The electron-phonon coupling factor increases with both temperature and density, and the change observed for beryllium is more obvious than that for aluminum. The connections between thermal quantities and electronic/atomic structures are discussed in detail, and the different behaviors of aluminum and beryllium are well explained
