AbstractAbstract
[en] To acquire optimal corrosion technical parameter, corrosion process experiment was conducted to stainless steel, carbon steel and cast iron. The experiment results showed nitric acid concentration of corrosion solution had stronger effect on oxidation capability and the stronger oxidation capability was acquired when nitric acid concentration of corrosion solution was 2 mol/L. Under 2 mol/L HNO3+ 0.05 mol/L cerium (IV), the corrosion depth of 10.1, 15.2 and 25.4 was obtained by means of 48 h corrosion process to stainless steel, carbon steel and cast iron, respectively. At the same condition, for plutonium contamination ranging from 0.48 Bq/cm2 to 0.68 Bq/cm2 fell to ranging from 0.06 Bq/cm2 to 0.08 Bq/cm2. Based the experimental results, it could be inferred that cerium (IV) corrosion process was a suitable method for decontamination of plutonium contaminated metal surface. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The age of the fault activities had been determined by TL dating and nuclear fission track dating. The results show that the fault of Shougou Hill had large and intense activities in mid-cenozoic era, however, intense activities still occurred in early pleistocene and mid-pleistocene. The last activity of the fault occurred 430 000 years ago. The data of TL dating are conformable with data of nuclear fission track dating

AbstractAbstract
[en] The procedure for determination of 235U and 238U in soil by alpha spectrometry was developed. Several steps involved in this procedure are as follows: conversion of uranium associated with the matrix into acid-soluble form, radiochemical separation of uranium from the components of the sample and other radionuclides, purification of uranium and preparation of the source for measurement. The real separation and purification were preformed by selective anion exchange resin. The results show that the recoveries are relatively high and stable. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] 210Pb is a daughter element of radioactive uranium series in nature. It can be used to determine ages and depositional rates of sediments, in glacier, ocean, lake since one hundred year. The basic principle and experimental procedure for 210Pb dating method are explained. The five columned samples from the Haikou and Xinhai Bays have been determined to have the depositional rate of 0.38∼1.04 cm/a

AbstractAbstract
[en] Fenton reagent oxidation experiments were conducted to test its feasibility in pre- treatment of radioactive spent ion exchange resin. The effects of reaction conditions such as the dosage of H2O2 and Fe2+ , reaction time(t) and reaction temperature(θ) were studied in term of chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency. The optimum operating conditions determined by the orthogonal experiments are as follows: c0(H2O2)=4.0 mol/L, c0(Fe2+)=20 mmol/L, θ=95 degree C and t=4 h at pH=2.5. Under optimum operating conditions, approximately 100K decomposition efficiencies can be achieved for three 50 g uranium-containing wet resin samples. The COD is reduced from 8.0-10.0 g/L in the initial solution to 0.2-0.3 g/L in the residual solution. At the same time, the concentration of uranium in the tail-gas absorption solution don't remarkably increase. The study results show that the pre-treatment of industrially generated radioactive spent ion exchange resin by Fenton's reagent can entail very effective degradation of the resin. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Sargassum fusiforme was immobilized with calcium alginates and its biosorption property to 239Pu was studied by batch and column methods. Biosorption equilibrium time of immobilized Sargassum fusiforme biosorbent to 239Pu is 120 min and biosorption efficiency is over 99.2% when the initial concentration of 239Pu is 21.5 kBq/L and pH is 2.5-5.0. After five times repetition biosorption-desorption cycles biosorption efficiency is still over 98.0% when the velocity of flow is 2 ml/min in column experiment. Immobilized Sargassum fusiforme biosorbent is better to 239Pu due to its better chemical stability, mechanical strength, lower cost, high biosorption efficiency and repeated biosorption-desorption cycles.
