[en] On the basis of analysis to the projective Riccati equations, an intermediate transformation in expansion method is constructed. And this transformation is applied to solve Gardner equation, there many new kinds of travelling wave solutions including solitary wave solution are obtained, in which some are found for the first time

AbstractAbstract
[en] A fractional transformation is introduced to solve modified KdV (mKdV for short) equation, where this fractional transformation is used to map the solutions of an elliptic equation to another elliptic equation. Thus, more new kinds of solutions are obtained, such as rational periodic wave solutions, rational solitary wave solutions and so on. It is shown that this method is more powerful to give more kinds of solutions

AbstractAbstract
[en] The cubic nonlinear Schroedinger (NLS for short) equation with new type of external heating source is derived for large amplitude equatorial envelope Rossby wave in a shear flow. And then various periodic structures for these equatorial envelope Rossby waves are obtained with the help of Jacobi elliptic functions and elliptic equation. It is shown that different types of phase-locked diabatic heating play different roles in structures of equatorial envelope Rossby wave

AbstractAbstract
[en] In this paper, two transformations are introduced to solve sinh-Gordon equation by using the knowledge of elliptic equation and Jacobian elliptic functions. It is shown that different transformations are required in order to obtain more kinds of solutions to the sinh-Gordon equation.
