AbstractAbstract
[en] The reaction cross sections for the interaction of exotic nuclei 6He and 11Li with 12C nuclei are calculated for energies of about 0.8 GeV per nucleon. The cross sections calculated by the exact Glauber formula are compared with their counterparts found by using the formulas of the optical limit, the rigidtarget approximation, and the few-body approximation. The effect of the structure of the nuclei being considered on the calculated cross sections is examined. The root-mean-square radii of the 6He and 11Li nuclei are estimated on the basis of experimental data on the cross sections for the interaction of these exotic nuclei with 12C nuclei

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results of several experiments aimed at exploring the nuclear spatial structure of neutron-rich He and Li isotopes are presented and briefly discussed. The study of the density distributions in these nuclei by small-angle proton elastic scattering at intermediate energy is considered in more detail. The performed investigations allow one to obtain information on the total matter distributions, radii of the matter, neutron and proton distributions, effective and internal core sizes, halo sizes, and spatial correlations of the halo nucleons in the studied nuclei

AbstractAbstract
[en] The ratios ρpHe and ρpn of the real to imaginary part of the forward proton-4He and proton-neutron elastic scattering amplitudes have been determined from the data on proton-helium elastic scattering cross sections at 0.7 GeV in the Coulomb-nuclear interference region to be ρpHe =-0.06±0.06 and ρpn = -0.28±0.12. The existing experimental values of ρpHe are compared in a wide range of energies with the corresponding values calculated by means of the Glauber model using the ratios ρpp and ρpn evaluated with the help of the dispersion relations.
