AbstractAbstract
[en] 199Hg(IT) was produced and mass separated at the ISOLDE facility (CERN). Nuclear orientation achieved by optical pumping via the resonance line 6s21S0 → 6s6p3P1, lambda = 2,537 A was monitored by means of the anisotropy of the γ-radiation emitted in the cascade 199Hg(IT,I = 13/2+) M4 transition → 199*Hg(I = 5/2-) E2 transition → 199Hg(I = 1/2-). Maximum anisotropies of 35% (2.8%) were found in the M4(E2) transition. A Zeeman scanning of the 3P1 state yielded the positions of F = 13/2 and the F = 15/2 hfs components relative to the reference isotope 204Hg at 15.13(15) GHz and -2.86(15) GHz respectively. Isotopic shift and the quadrupole interaction constant were deduced from these values using the known A factor. Deltaν(199 m/204) = ν(204) - ν(199m) = -12.20(16) GHz. B = -0.86(25)GHz. From the B factor the spectroscopic quadrupole moment was calculated as Q = 1.54(44) barn. (orig.)

In der Anlage ISOLDE (CERN) wurde 199Hg(IT) produziert und massensepariert. Die durch optisches Pumpen ueber die Resonanzlinie 6s21S0 → 6s6p3P1, lambda = 2,537 A erreichte Kernorientierung wurde mit Hilfe der Anisotropie der γ-Strahlung in der Kaskade 199Hg(IT,I = 13/2+) M4 Uebergang → 199*Hg(I = 5/2-) E2 Uebergang → 199Hg(I = 1/2-) aufgezeichnet. Im Uebergang M4(E2) wurden maximale Anisotropien von 35% (28%) festgestellt. Durch Zeeman-Scanning des Zustands 3P1 wurden die Positionen der Komponenten F = 13/2 und F = 15/2 hfs gegenueber dem Referenzisotop 204Hg bei 15,13(15) GHz bzw. -2,86(15) GHz ermittelt. Die Isotopenverschiebung und die Quadrupolwechselwirkungskonstante wurden aus diesen Werten mit Hilfe des bekannten Faktors A abgeleitet. Deltaν(199m/204) = ν(204) - ν(199m) = -12.20(16) GHz B = -0.86(25) GHz. Aus dem Faktor B wurde das spektroskopische Quadrupolmoment als Q = 1.54(44) barn berechnet. (orig./AK)Primary Subject
