AbstractAbstract
[en] A new arc detector with ultra wide dynamic range was developed based on three gain adjustable amplifiers and microcontroller for the RF (radio frequency) windows in the high-power microwave heating systems on HL-2A/M tokamak. The gain is digitally adjustable with 8 levels in the main amplifier and the protection threshold is adjustable from 0 to 5 V with accuracy of 20 mV. Both the gain and threshold are remotely controlled with the help of a microcontroller. The measured maximum response time is 2.56 μs. The arcing detectors work properly in different level of background light and in complicated electromagnetic environment. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A method to detect sea fogs from the measurement data acquired by the Cloud-Aerosol Lidar with Orthogonal Polarization (CALIOP) aboard the Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation (CALIPSO) satellite is proposed in this paper. Because of the unique capability of vertical-resolved measurements, sea fogs and low clouds can be more easily distinguished in the CALIOP data compared with passive satellite measurements. Yellow Sea where sea fogs occur frequently is selected to test the method. Nine cases of daytime sea fog events from 2008 to 2011 in the Yellow Sea are studied intensively to characterize the remotely sensed radiation properties of various targets, such as clear-sky sea surface, sea fog, low cloud and high cloud. These fog cases are then used in an attempt to evaluate sea fogs identified from the MODIS measurements. The method proposed in this paper can also be used for nighttime cases. Multi-year sea fog dataset can be made from the CALIOP measurement and used to validate the MODIS sea fog detection. - Highlights: • A method of sea fog detection from the CALIOP measurements is proposed. • CALIOP VFM and 532-nm attenuated backscatter products are integrated used. • Sea fogs and low clouds can be more easily distinguished in the CALIOP data. • 9 Cases of daytime sea fog events in the Yellow Sea are selected to test the method. • The MODIS sea fog detections are evaluated using the collocated CALIOP data

AbstractAbstract
[en] The relativistic electron orbit is studied for a combined electromagnetic wave wiggler and an axial guide magnetic field near electron cyclotron resonance. The wiggler field and the axial guide magnetic field components are Bw = -kwAwcos(kwx - ωwt)ey, Ew = ωw/c Awcos(kwx - ωwt)e, B = Boes. Where Aw = constant is the wiggler amplitude, c is the light velocity and ωw and kw are the wiggler frequency and wavenumber, respectively. The perpendicular orbit equation is simplified. In comparison with the case of electrostatic plasma wave wiggler the maximum perpendicular excursion is the same when β110 approaches to one

AbstractAbstract
[en] The improvement of the arcing detector for the ECRH system in HL-2A tokamak is presented in this paper. Two types of photoelectric conversion module, four different operator amplifiers are investigated and the anti-self-excitation capacitor is quantitatively studied in this improvement. The GGOE-2 photoelectric converter and OPA128LM operator amplifier are finally chosen. The anti-self-excitation capacity is determined to be 30 pF. 30 arcing detectors were produced and tested to satisfy the requirement of the HL-2A tokamak in 2009. The measured average response time is 1.2μs, which is shorter than the former's. The arcing detectors work properly in different level of background light and in complicated electromagnetic environment. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] Objective: To study the effect of Microwave on thyroid gland and T3, T4 in Blood Serum. Methods: After exposure to 65w/cm2 and 5w/cm2 microwave, changes of thyroid gland in rats were detected by HE stain and T3, T4 in Blood serum was examined by radioimmunoassay. Result: In 65 w/cm2 irradiation group, the physiological damage was developing with the days of the irradiation. And the T4 blood serum concentration increased on the 1 d irradiation, but decreased gradually during the last irradiation and reached to the lowest point at the 14th day. T3 decreased gradually during the radiation. In 5 w/cm2 microwave irradiation group, only slight physiological changes were found. T4 decrease during irradiation but increased significantly at the 4th day after irradiation. T3 level decreased gradually during the irradiation while there was no statistical difference. Conclusion: The results showed that the continued microwave irradiation can induce changes of thyroid gland and T3, T4 in blood serum. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The even-odd mode theory, wave superposition and impedance matching are used to design the 3-dB power splitter, then the structure and the parameters of the power splitter are simulated by HFSS cord. Finally the optimistic results are acquired:reflection loss in input port 1 is -41.42dB; isolation between the port 1 and 4 is -44.86dB; power splitting in output port 2, 3 are -3.02 dB, -3.01 dB; input VSWR is 1.017. AbstractAbstract
[en] The design and implement of logical control and monitor system of the lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) system on HL-2M was present. The system was based on the SIEMENS S7-400 series PLC. The performance on anti-interference was increased by using the industrial Ethernet network, optical fiber isolation, embedded controller technology. The interlocks, parameter setting and remote monitor are established. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] A test platform for the TH2103A klystrons and the high power microwave components is developed. The RF driver, four port circulator, RF load and high power cathode power supply are installed on the test bed. A short pulse test is carried out on the test bed. The parameters of the 4 klystrons are optimized by scanning the currents in the 3 focusing coils and the high power microwave transmission components are conditioned. The output power of the 4 klystrons reached 449 kW, 417 kW, 460 kW and 450 kW when the pulse duration was 30ms, respectively. The test result is an important reference for the LHCD system on HL-2A tokamak. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] For LHCD system, transmission line with oversized circular waveguides has lower power loss rather than with traditional rectangular waveguides. This report introduces two kinds of mode convertors: serpentine type and sidewall coupling type. A serpentine type mode convertor is designed in detail, which conversion efficiency can reach 99%, simulated by HFSS. (authors)
