AbstractAbstract
[en] Geochemical studies of metabasic rocks associated to the metasediments of the Acungui Group, South of the Ribeira Belt, indicate that these rocks have tholeiitic basalt affinities. This suggests that the geologic evolution of this Group may be a segment of a retro-arc basin (Campanha 1991; Maniesi, 1997; Maniesi and Oliveira, 2000). Isotopic studies involving Nd, Sr and Pb are now presented with the objective of adding more information to the provenance and evolution of this portion of the Ribeira Belt. The isotopic analyses were obtained in the Geochronology Research Center (CPGeo) at the University of Sao Paulo (au)
