AbstractAbstract
[en] Investigation results of cytomorphological changes in rodents' blood system. 3 species of field mice caught in different places of the 40 km ChNPP area are presented. In response to the established chronical joint factors of radiative and nonradiative nature in the residence of field mice in their hematopoietic system an explicit cell transformation was seen when compensation process enhancement gave way to a decompensation phase which was followed by radiation-induced diseases. The revealed changes in the blood system are inconsistent with normal viability of animals. refs. 17; figs. 27

AbstractAbstract
[en] A comparative study was made of blood morphology of Microtus oeconomus Pall. living in control regions (γ-radiation background 10-15 μ R/h) and in those contaminated with radium (γ-radiation background 50-250 μR/h) and uranium and radium (γ-radiation background 50-3000 μH/h). It was shown that there was a complex of well pronounced clinical and cytomorphological changes in blood picture. In particular, red and white blood cells with a characteristic micronuclear anomaly were revealed in animals living in radium-and uranium/radium-regions

AbstractAbstract
[en] In experiments on Microtus oeconomus Pall, living in natural conditions with normal (0.72-1.08 pA/kg) and increased (3.6-1440 pA/kg) levels of external gamma-radiation and affected by numerous incorporated radionuclides, the differences were detected, by the cytochemical method, both in the total glycogen content of eucocytes and in the type of grouping of cells depending on the cegre of their saturation with polysaccharide

AbstractAbstract
[en] The activity, the dynamics of changes in the body mass and the weight of some internal organs of chipmunks at different physiological status were studied in normal conditions (0.86 pA/kg) and during chronic gamma-irradiation at low dose-rates (46.3 pA/kg). The stated higher indications of body mass and the lower activity of the animals from the experirental group during the hbernation period can be regarded as the favourable protective reaction of the organism to the chronic effects of gamma-irradiation with low doses
