[en] On the pulsed beam of a 5.5 MeV Van de Graaf-accelerator the magnetic moments of the nuclei ⁴¹K, ³⁷Ar and ³⁷K were measured in the excited 7/2^- states: μ = 4.41 nm for ⁴¹K, 1.29 MeV, μ = 5.1 nm for ³⁷K, 1.38 MeV, μ = -1.31 nm for ³⁷Ar, 1.61 MeV. At the same time the known half-times of these states were determined more exactly. (RW/WL)

[en] VICKSI, a heavy ion accelerator installation at the Hahn-Meitner-Institut Berlin, was improved by adding an 8 MV-Tandem-Van de Graaff as second injector for the cyclotron, which is used alternatively with the first injector, a 6 MV single-stage-Van de Graaff. Comprehensive survey work was necessary in order to fit the Tandem into the ion optical system. This report documents the work done and discusses some problems arising during this period. The appendix compiles the results for the new beam line as well as some results for the older parts of the VICKSI installation. (orig./HSI)

[en] The present volume contains a collection of BENSC Experimental Reports. The reports present an overview on the experimental work carried out on BENSC in 1995. About 70 percent of the beam time is available to external users. A qualitative step is the start of user operation of the new advanced Time-of-Flight Spectrometer V3 (NEAT). The increase of SANS project for the Double Crystal Diffractometer V12 is noticed. The current list of instruments and instrument responsibles is given. (DG)

[en] The existing beam profile monitor system at VICKSI is based on the display of the beam current that hits a rotating wire loop. The lower limit of the range of useful application is at beam intensities of about 1 nA. By the use of microchannel plate detectors this limit can be lowered by 2-3 orders of magnitude. (orig.)
